    Okay, time to carefully unwrap and see if they are actually 30Q’s or not. Use a magnifier and check every little detail. If the top insulating ring is self adhesive in the new cells then they are fakes…period.

    Sorry, I don’t know anything about the accuracy of that tester (or similar ones). You can test capacity with it but it’s easy to use fakes with the same capacity. Testing at higher current levels, 15A or 20A for the 30Q, is needed.

    It could mean they are fake but doesn’t guarantee it. Accusing a vendor of selling fakes is a huge deal, you have to be sure. If you want, send me the cells and I’ll authenticate them. I won’t be able to return them though. If fake you can contact the vendor with the info I send you.
