    I have a desktop that I basically built , dual hard drives for Linux and Windoze for gaming, 750 watt power supply running it . I7 and a fast video card . Would have cost a fortune to buy a laptop with the same capabilities .

    Me either , I have close to 2 terrabytes of storage in mine , cost about $120 to do that but I know Apple will charge a premium price for everything . Flip side is it's the most secure PC you can buy outside of a linux system .

    Don't know if things have changed but the chinese can do a great job at making an atty , perfectly seamless , excellent threading etc. but then they give you crap hardware as in screws that strip with one use . First thing I did was replace the screws with good ones , never a problem after that .

    Hey DD , checked out Solus amd MX Linux in Virtualbox . Solus didn't play well in VB , couldn't get past 800x600 resolution on it , some screens are chopped off . Solus is fairly new so they might not have gotten around to addressing that yet . On the other hand no problems with MX Linux at all...
