Higher wattage same coil health issue

I think education and experience is key here. I think most of us that have been vaping a while now know that if you push a build beyond its limits of performance then potentially harmful compounds can be released (dry/burnt hits taste like crap no one in their right mind would think that's a...

Dropped my mod in the toilet... help?

Don't think I would want to put any mod near my face after that. Eww lol.:eek::D But yeah I think Baditude's advice is pretty solid.

    New Diyer needing advice

Just a word of caution too. Remember when using concentrated nicotine to make sure you make accurate measurements and be careful when handling it. Highly concentrated nicotine can be harmful if not used correctly. Good luck with your DIY. :thumb: Edit: Sorry didn't notice what you had was...

    Temreture Control issue

Ah I see. Well that's a shame. Hopefully they will bring out a firmware upgrade with a wider TCR range.

    Temreture Control issue

Never used a DNA200 chip and can't remember if it has a manual/custom TCR setting but if it does try using it with a TCR set to 0.00092 for ss 316l. It works well on my IPV5. Take a look at this thread The Ultimate TCR List I found it very useful.

    hi guys smoker here

Welcome to ECF and congrats on deciding to quit the cigs. :thumb: One tip I would give you is to buy a few different nicotine strength liquids to find what level best suits you to stop your cravings. When I first made the switch I needed a quite high nicotine strength to stop the cravings but...

    I hate spring loaded 510's!!!

I have to agree with this. I get some leakage from spitback and condensation on some of my tanks and rda's but never enough to flood my 510. well maybe once on a cheap velocity clone but that was because the insolator around the 510 pin had cracked. I love the spring loaded 510 on my old ipv4s...

    Vape and Dentures.

Doesn't dry socket happen after a tooth has been pulled and the wound is still open and the clot inside the socket comes out? Sorry I'm no expert but this is what I thought it was. If your gums are healed I can't see a problem but I would ask your dentist if you are worried.

How much nic are we really getting from vaping?

This is the way I see it. You get the amount of nicotine from vaping that you need to satisfy your cravings then stop untill you feel the urge again. No sane person would vape so much that their nicotine intake made them feel ill. The trick is finding a level that suits you. Some people like a...

    What gauge SS for TC

I'm running dual spaced 26/32 gauge 316 ss claptons, 0.206 ohms at 80J and 500F in my crius plus on an IPV5 with the manual TCR set to set to 0.00092. I'm getting a fantastic vape from this with no hint of a dry hit. Not sure how xcube performs with ss temp control or if it has a manual TCR...

IPV 5 buzzing when firing button is pressed.

Yeah I used to get this wih my IPV 4s too but only in temp control mode. From what I understand Yihi chips use PWM in temp control and what you could hear is the classic rattlesnake effect of PWM. Never had this in wattage mode or when I didn't have an atty on the mod with my 4s though so just...

IPV 5 buzzing when firing button is pressed.

Cheers mate, at first I thought it could be that but I don't think it's the screen on my IPV 5 because when the screen is lit up and i'm not pressing the fire button there's no buzzing it's only when I press the firing button. The main thing I'm worried about is if the firing button is shorting...

IPV 5 buzzing when firing button is pressed.

Just got my IPV 5 and noticed when ever I press the fire button i can hear a buzzing sound coming from the mod. I can hear this buzzing in wattage mode, tc mode and even when there is no atty on the mod. Just wondering is this normal with the IPV 5 or should I be sending it back? Cheers :)

Picture of Your Setup Part 3!

It's the IPV 4s I have and runs to 120w. If you're looking for a mod to run in wattage mode then I can't fault it. Been using it in wattage mode for over a year now and been realy happy with it. It also has a really nice stainless steel spring loaded 510. The threads and pin are still good on...

It's not all doom and gloom

I've noticed that a lot of news and posts on here have been pretty depressing latley what with the deeming regulations and all. So I thought it would be nice to create a thread where people could share something good thats going on with them and the world of vaping. Don't know 'bout you but I...
