    Mike n Tibs DNA Mods!

Having seen your install, there appeared to be no issues with hookup or soldering. As such I think there is another issue with the board. You should post your problem on the Evolv forum as you will likely get an expedited replacement in exchange for telling them about the failure. The pinched...

    DNA 200 Watt

You have 8 wires to solder for this mod and four of them are darn near battleship chain. Unless you think you will take up modding as a hobby, you probably will not have any issue without the helping hands.

    temp control really that good?

Take the cotton out and wash it...I bet there is no burning. Juice will accumulate coil junk in TC mode just like wattage mode. There are substances in the juice that do not vaporize, but instead build up on the coil.

I will pass on the easy joke setup and mention that we all chose larger batteries....no ten pounds of bat guano in a five pound bag.

    Mike n Tibs DNA Mods!

Wow...a bunch of folks with flip phones and vista. I run a hacked version of Android from source, use a Mac and Linux and love it when the kids or wife text me vs call. You older folks are giving us older folks a bad reputation.

Same for me, but I am running mine in a virtual box under mac, so I assumed it was related to my setup.

impressive 510 wire. I had to do a loop for strain relief, plus I make it long enough to do the soldering outside. Well done.

    DNA 200 Watt

I am impressed as well. However, they are trying to get them in and look at the failures for improvements. Several issues that have been assumed to be user error may not be. They are doing this chip right and are by far the best manufacture for modders.

    DNA 200 Watt

Your math wins! I have been dealing with 850's and 900's and did not jump to the fact that 20c at 2.1wh is ok. And it is lifpo so 9.9 is it.

The best entry level TC rig I have found is the Joytech evic VT.

    DNA 200 Watt

It is a 9.9 v pack, only rated at 20c. There is a balance charger shown on the back that has three hots for the cells and an additional power tap (red and black with a white connector) on the top to plug into a transmitter. It is a "transmitter pack" for RC transmitters. Not a pack for use in...

    Mike n Tibs DNA Mods!

True...but I am referring to discussions on this very forum...amongst folks who know what is in their mod. I agree that the casual vaper going and getting a mod at a B&M really has no opinion (plug it in, charge it, vape it, repeat). What has me scratching my head is that there is at times...

And the 18650's need a sled or enclosure AND they have constantly exposed contact points. I am really stumped at the folks that want to stick to 18650s. I do agree that if you can run on one, it makes a nice form factor. You can do that with a nice DNA40 large screen (love that mod). The "I...

I personally don't understand the assemble method of putting the screw in from the front. Why not thread the mount block and do it cleanly AND avoid the nut on the chip side?
