Help me out...I have the same wire. so:
-do you anneal it?
-how do you dry burn it? I have read so much about not dry firing Ti I want to follow a known good path.
I am so so so tired of not being re-wick nickel.
Here is where I found it....they are HARD to find in the US.
Empire Hobby | HYPERION G6 HV 60C MAX LIPOLY BATTERY PACK 900 MAH 3S 11.4V W/XT60 CONNECTOR [HP60C0900S3]
You order, then select a local hobby shop that actually ships it to you. I got one so what can I say....
Try it and if it is too fat to let the body close on the bezel, then you will want to try the other. It may be best to loan you mine to see if the thing is even workable before investing more. I can send it to you and if it looks like it will work you can replace it later.
I can draw it and upload it and you can test it out...Squonk_me ordered the first rough out, so there is likely significant input from his testing that we could roll into it, but yea the concept is solid.
IT is the G6 that it is sized for, but yours may fit. The is a small bit of room. If you send me the dimensions of what you have I will verify:
I got this one for about $15.
Ignore the dimensions as I work at 100 times target.
Looks amazing. Sorry if you got the extra 1mm on the back side of the buttons (the crowns that press on the chip should be 2mm but some that were 3mm crept in). I got the fat buttons, but sanding the buttons down and thinning the rails only took a bit with some 220.
Yes...TruckerMSA and I have been mailing files back and forth so I put it up so he could help test it. I should have one Monday. It is probably very "alpha" but the plan is a very small DNA40 box with built in battery holder. It is a fun design and I have printed it in filament once...
There are revised buttons up if you want to save the sanding.
Rails have been reduced, but you got in the first go (mine too). I used a sanding block to knock a few thousands off each side. All in all it was fast. The buttons I put in the holes in revers and just spun the fat end around till...
I think he ordered the roughed out one I posted...first and only print of it...hope he is handy! I should have one in a few weeks, but am side tracked on a DNA40 project.
I remember when I could buy new RC toys left and right...wife and kids eat up the cash now along with three cars, insurance on a teenage driver and payoff for the starter wife. Enjoy it while you can!
Agree! No computer = no joy for the 200 as it is really a geeky thing. However, the ability to set the pre-heat punch and the slope of ramp up and having 200 watts to do it, along with 8 profiles for various atomizers and wire types as well as hybrid wire types (Nickel and Ti, Ti and kanthal...
Yea...food for thought. There are a lot of ways to make a DNA200 mod...imagine having a great mod with ample battery for under $100 vs what the retail side of things is bringing to market.
