    No. The DNA200 has a configurable ramp up and anyone vaping at 550 is nuts in my book. 490'ish is the top end to avoid the production of bad chemicals.

    In theory yes. It will reduce the wattage supplied once your desired temp is reached, so it should save battery. As to juice that is harder to rationalize but you could argue that by keeping the vaporization do a desired maximum, TC will help you avoid exceeding that point.
