Anyone try Oumier Wasp Nano ?

Wasp Nano build up date: The build I mentioned before was for the Wasp, not the Wasp Nano.....sorry bout that. For the Nano my build is a 26/36 316L SS, 5/4 wrap, 2.77mm (7/64") ID, fused clapton set with top of coil even with top of deck posts. It's a winner. Wrap the coil clockwise, that way...

Anyone try Oumier Wasp Nano ?

I position it so the center of the coil is about .5mm below the top of the deck posts. A little higher (center of coil even with top of deck posts) works good too but the vape is a little hotter and spitback can be an issue. Experiment around a little to see what works good for your vaping...

Anyone try Oumier Wasp Nano ?

26/36 316L SS fused clapton, 3mm, 4 wraps (not spaced) works nicely in this atty. Really great flavor and only a warm vape at 50-60W.

With all those years of fix'n stuff I'm sure you've had to fab a lot of custom parts Willie, I know I've had to. I'm sure the new latch parts you make will be better than the og parts. Post pics.

Rayon Wick - Better Flow, Flavor, Longevity, and Nic Hit!! - Pt.2

I haven't tried twisting Rayon into the coil, I just twist the end to get it started and then just pull it through the coil. I get plenty in there doing it that way. Seems like it would be easy to get too much rayon in the coil by twisting it through.

Clapton Wrap Ramp Time Update: Being a person that always admits when I'm wrong I have to admit I completely missed something in my calculations (The circular mil area of the wire) which affects the wire mass calculation. Mass of the wire directly affects ramp time! So even...

    The Ram by Wotofo

Kind of a Zombie thread but I'll post anyway. My Rambox has 510 voltage drop issues. The 510 gets firecracker hot after a few chain vapes. With the same atty/build on other mods the 510s stay cool. Cleaned it really good but could not figure out how to disassemble the 510 for internal cleaning...

Rayon Wick - Better Flow, Flavor, Longevity, and Nic Hit!! - Pt.2

All true, we're saying the same thing. Resistance isn't affected by the wrap wire gauge or wire type. Something to keep in mind concerning ramp time with clapton wraps is that the thinner the wrap wire the longer wire it takes to wrap the cores. Example: 32g is approx .008" diameter where 38g is...

Rayon Wick - Better Flow, Flavor, Longevity, and Nic Hit!! - Pt.2

Some of that is true, the smaller the wrap wire the faster it heats up. This is because smaller wrap wire leaves less spaces for juice to pool between adjacent wraps and adjacent core wire(s). Heating less juice quickens ramp time. SS does not heat up faster than kanthal though. SS has a...

Rayon Wick - Better Flow, Flavor, Longevity, and Nic Hit!! - Pt.2

I've heard that before but it defies ohm's law. The wrap on a clapton is super long and has extremely high resistance compared to the core wire(s) so it does not flow enough current or change the res of the coil enough for our mods to read a difference. Ohm's law for parallel resistors adds the...

That hilarious! I guess by '85 they got better. It's still a little difficult to read my '85 Kubota tractor service manual, but doable. Oh, accept for the hydraulics section, that part is a mess.o_O

+1 You're correct about over heating in the center (even in TC). Wicks separating in the middle indicate temps over 470°f in that area of the coil. Taking wraps out is a good solution, so is increasing the coil ID if possible. Getting people to change their habits? Good luck with that one.

Yep, it can be confusing. Zivipf's NiFe48 is actually NiFe52 alloy (According to internationally accepted naming conventions). As long as its tcr is close I'm fine with whatever they want to call it. So what's in a name? A lot if you want your product to sell to people who need to feel secure...
