Hmm. I think I'm following you on that. Definitely the truth for pre-made wire, I normally buy the pre-made 26x2/32 when I can't be bothered to make my own claptons. Another major issue is that the battery on my cordless drill is on its last breath, so normally I need to make my coils in 30...

Understood. I might splurge for the Spin LT then after having fiddled with the swivels for awhile. I try to refrain from spinning my own claptons at the least because I always mess up at some point along the spinning, but I really need to get better at it so I can make more alien coils and the...

    18650 Battery Wrap Safety

Gotcha. I never could figure out what really caused the burn-like marks on my wraps, but it's been quite awhile with the same pair and they've still been holding up just fine. I'm going to hold to the idea that it was condensation under the wraps but one can never be too sure. When in doubt...

Understood. I think I'm going to go with the ball bearing swivels just for the cost effectiveness. Thanks for the input! Interesting! I'm sure there's a laser etching machine at my local university, but I won't be attending for another year or so... maybe one of my friends can help me out and...

    18650 Battery Wrap Safety

I have a pair of married Sony VTC4s that may have had something similar but I'm not sure, and I didnt' get too much feedback on them... when I inspected my wraps, I noticed some spotting had occurred under them, but the spots were only on the wraps and not on the batteries themselves. They...

Man.... That's a beautiful atty. Maybe since I already have a velocity clone, instead of springing for the velocity V2 with a longer contact pin I can just get a goon clone. What kind of build are you running in it? That.... That decal is AMAZING! It almost looks as if it's etched into the box...

Good stuff! It seems lie even the 0.7 ohm build I have running on my cricket just chucks the vapor a little too violently hahaha. Going to tone down and move up to 1 ohm, see how it goes. Does the swivel really make it that much easier? I saw the one you mentioned, it looked kind of expensive...

Definitely interested in seeing. I would get the authentic but it's expensive considering I'm a college student lol. How is the machining on the clone? Is it a generic or do you know who manufactured it?

Nice! I was looking at a Hatty before I got the Alliance. Still thinking about getting it, I believe the authentic is $18 on 101vape? Hmmm.... might have to try the dual clapton build then! Still, I hate having to build claptons because my cordless power drill's batteries are on the verge of...

Interesting. I was actually looking at getting a Hobo, I like the Velocity-style build deck. I think the reason I was iffy on it was the air flow seemed kind of small; same thing with the Narda, actually. I would be inclined to try a Hobo or a Narda before purchasing one, but sadly I don't have...

    18650 Battery Wrap Safety

Second this. I got transparent gold wraps and black wraps. I'm more inclined to use the transparent gold just because it looks better; I'm going to have to get some additional colors for re-wrapping. Same here. My mod is the iPV3 Li, so sliding the batteries in is simple. They're snug with the...

Skeleton Key Crystal Chalice Drip Tip Clone

Hey all, I've been eye-ing the crystal chalice drip tip for quite some time now. Here's a link: Crystal Chalice My question is, has anyone seen a clone of this drip tip? I'd love one without the hefty price tag  I've done a few searches but have yet to find any clones.

Interesting! It must lie somewhere in the quality control on the machining of each individual clone. As for my original full size Velocity, I find the pin too short for comfort on a hybrid. When screwed into the hybrid adapter, the pin wasn't reaching beyond the threads and that was enough...

    CELLULOID DRIP TIP safe?

Hiya. After doing some quick google searches, I have a somewhat indefinite answer for you. I'm not sure if this is safe to vape with. It is my understanding that the term "celluloid" is used to describe a wide variety of modern plastics. Take this forum thread here, for example: What is the...

@gpjoe Wow, gorgeous build there. I've done something similar on my regular Velocity clone where I put a single coil between the posts, but if I recall correctly I had less wraps and my clapton was paralleled with 26ga; and it was on my iPV3 because the contact pin wasn't long enough for a mech...

Picture of Your Setup Part 3!

Just posted in one of my own threads, but I'm excited so I figured I'd share it here too. Here's my second setup! Noisy Cricket x Alliance V2. [/IMG]

Just got the Alliance in. Finally got it all cleaned up, and holy cow... this thing is an absolute beast. The build is a 26x32ga KA1 clapton paralleled with 26ga KA1; 9 wrap single coil, reading in at 0.76Ω. Here's a few pictures!

Turns out one of my local B&Ms had a TM V2 clone as well for $20, but there's no indication whatsoever on the manufacturer. Just seems to be a generic clone, which worries me. The machining didn't look too shabby on it, but I really wouldn't be able to make an accurate assessment until I took it...
