Hrmmm ... I could have sworn some of the newer hybrids had a rating below 2.5 volts.
On my phone atm and can't confirm. Maybe I'm thinking wrong? Anywhoo ... I tend to run my batteries until very little vapor is being produced. That's around 2.8-3 volts generally. Have yet to throw away a...
Just depends on the battery. Most I've seen have a max discharge rating of 2.2 - 2.5 these days.
Your battery will be fine just as long as you don't discharge below that rating.
Also, check out the youtube videos on how to rebuild the Mini Nova. Then you can wrap a lower resistance coil on that baby and enjoy your new mechanical even more!
Not bad given you grabbed this at a local shop. I assume the Chi-You is a clone, which is around $25-$30 from China. Those two batteries and charger are probably about $15 total online. So all in all ... that's really not too bad.
If and when you decide to get into rebuildables (and most...
VV/VW mods with stop firing after the battery hits 3.2-3.4 volts.
Mechanical mods will continue to fire ... but you will get little to NO vapor at around 2.8 volts. 2.8 volts is not an over discharge with todays batteries. You will notice when it's time to change your battery in a mechanical...
It will work just fine.

Even with zero voltage loss (which I promise you, you WILL have) ... you're only hitting a little over 5 amps on a 0.8 coil.
There are none atm. Faceless has a lot of gear headed our way soon but I'm not sure if extra top caps are one of them.
The draw is definitely tighter than many people are use to on gennies but I found it pretty easy to adjust to. Faceless found that the current size gave the best combo of...
GET READY FOLKS!
Faceless has a serious amount of gear coming out soon ...
If you wanted a LE, this might be the time to strike.

Those should work very well for you.
You know, I waited months and months for friggin China to come out with a dang simple tube mechanical mod. In the time waiting I just ended up buying a second hybrid that also happens to work has a tube mechanical (iHybrid F3cta). Fast forward months...
The problem with that is its not scientifically correct. In order to voltage test a device you need a constant power source that eliminates perhaps the biggest factor in voltage drop ... BATTERY.
So while he may have gotten a 0.4v drop (which isn't all that bad for an inline or at the coil...
