    Anything better than ProVari?

Not really ... the ones I have all work pretty well. For someone new I'd recommend an IGO-L. Dirt cheap, easier to build, and a real performer. For Genesis I'd say either the RSST or AGA-T2.

    High drain batteries?

Non-protected IMR/Hybrids works just fine in mechs ... just make sure your battery is rated at the amps you are drawing from your atomizer.

    Anything better than ProVari?

If I could only have one it would either be my Zenesis ASH or my iHybrid F3CTA. Hard to decide between the two because I just got the F3CTA and I'm still working out the quirks to get my preferred vapor production. But the fact that the F3CTA is 3 devices in one (a hybrid, a mechanical, and a...

    Anything better than ProVari?

3 main reasons: 1) A mechanical has no electronics that can .... and will degrade over time. Anything with integrated circuit boards will eventually die one day. Where as with a mechanical, it has the potential to last forever. 2) A Provari has amp and voltage limitations built into the...

    High drain batteries?

The maximum discharge voltage for most IMR/Hybrid batteries these days is 2.5-2.8 volts. Running your battery down to 3.1 probably didn't cause any irreversible cell damage.

    Jump to mechanicals

The two that come to mind that you can A) Readily find and B) Aren't above $150 would be a Gus and a Legacy. The Paps is another option but they only come into stock once a few times a month, often in the VERY early mornings (like 3am), and sell out quickly. The Gus mods tend to stay in stock...

Especially when it's a pv that cost over $100 new. :D

    green stuff!?!

Certain flavors are "acidic" to plastics. It's not just Pluid. Citrus flavors, vanillas, and cinnamons can do it as well. In fact, there is a list somewhere here on ECF that lists flavors that break down polycarbonate.

Help! Broke my Friend's ihybrid glass tank!

Pyrex is stronger than Quartz ... but it can still crack and shatter. Having a metal tank as a backup is a good idea regardless of which you choose IMHO.

Help! Broke my Friend's ihybrid glass tank!

Yeah ... Fuzed Quartz isn't the best "glass" out there. I know people who have went through TONS of tanks. lol

Help! Broke my Friend's ihybrid glass tank!

The standard and LE tanks or the same as the Zenesis standard ... yes. Now the new F3CTA ... not sure about that. I know my F3CTA's tank is DEFINITELY not the same size as my Zenesis ASH (mini tank).

Help! Broke my Friend's ihybrid glass tank!

Yeah sorry ... threw in the wrong link ... fixed. Also ... they sell a stainless steel tank as well. Makes a nice spare tank. http://www.electronicstix.com/collections/zenesis-parts-and-accessories/products/stainless-steel-tank-standard-with-zenesis-finish

Battery in regulated APV question - how low to run?

No, it won't significantly reduce overall life. Yes, going below the discharge voltage rating of your battery can cause irreversible cell death and it can lose charge capacity. From my experience ... at around 2.8volts on a mechanical, the device becomes pretty useless (little to no vapor)...

Battery in regulated APV question - how low to run?

You're absolutely fine with letting them run down that far. Regulated APVs do this to "help" increase the life of your batteries. The maximum discharge voltage is ACTUALLY around 2.5-2.8volts, depending on the battery. And yes, you can use a battery that isn't all the way charged, it's just...

    green stuff!?!

Different chemicals have different reactions with other chemicals. For instance ... Cola pop/soda/whatever is strong enough to eat through metal and rust over time yet the human body does fine with it. While none of us know the long term effects (if any) on vaping certain flavorings, our lungs...

    green stuff!?!

Just make sure you use it in a metal or glass tank .... Pluid will eat plastics.
