I have noticed that the flavor on my subtanks can be almost as good as my rda. Getting it just right is such a pain in the .... compared to the ease of a dripper.
I couldn't compare it to the royal hunter, but I run a dual coil, twisted mess of wires at 0.5 ohms at 40 watts sometimes and right now I'm running a single coil 0.8 ohm at 30 watts. Incredible airflow, especially if you take off the afc and just use the top cap.
I did it with my old subtank, the og. I used the tiniest drill bit I had that would fit the smallest set screw I had. To be honest it doesn't look great, but it does work. I'll check real quick.
I might be picking up the wife a Provari in tiffany blue... she's got a birthday coming up. If only they'd bump up the wattage just a tad, it would be an absolute perfect choice.
I think I'll be picking one up. I'll definitely be getting one of the subox nano kits they're coming out with. If nothing else, I'll get a steel tank section for it and have an awesome work and beat up mod.
Have you seen that they've moved to vertical coils for the occ? They say it'll go much higher than the original occ. Somewhere around 50 watts, much warmer vape and more vapor production.
Ive been using a dripper as my primary device for the last little while, but I still use my subtanks every once in a while. They have good airflow, but not the best in the market. Still plenty for me though.
It's an aqueous ceramic coating, and should hold up really well. Both the tank and the mod are like that. It'll chip if you beat the crap out of it or drop it, but it wiping off would be the least likely thing to happen.
I haven't paid more than $50 for any single piece of equipment. Everything is authentic besides my Derringer. My total cost per day is somewhere around $2, not including juice. I have multiple inexpensive regulated mods and quite a few tanks and drippers. I used to use egos, but found their...
My kbox and a subtank. If the kbox dies I'm not out too much money, and I can take apart the subtank. This is all wishful thinking though..... water temp is still in the 40s where I am lol.
Eventually you might want to look at replaceable batteries. Innokin seems to do a good job with their built in batteries, but that's not a guarantee with your next mod. Sorry to hear you won't be able to pick another one up for a while. I'm picking up a mech this month just to play around with...
I'd call them up and explain what's going on. If nothing else you might be able to send it in and get it sent back. I know that would leave you without a mod, but it shouldn't be too long.... for a different mod, cheap price, as a backup, you might want an innokin Coolfire 4 or something...
