no need ta thank me D :) those are just my #s :blush: the tightness of the roll varies anywhere
between X mm --> 98mm
LOL I did my measurements w/ just a plastic ruler :facepalm: :laugh:
the calculated max is 98mm(that's if I'm not wrong about it's 2.5mm wick hole :unsure:) I only managed ta get about 75mm in there :blush: so 75mm x 35mm, you might wanna do the 2nd # @ 40mm then trim it if it's too long :)
same here :D threw away the tooth picks & removed all fill screws -- the 500 is wicking like a champ! :thumb: thanks again BJ & all who shared their knowlege! :thumbs:
PS: did you put the "rocket" in facing up or downward :confused: 130mm!! :ohmy: 8-o how big is the wick hole? 3.5mm :confused:
I asked my brother cuz he also has a Bliss & he talked to docdave about it's wick hole size -- they're 2.25mm each, going by TommCatt's calculator -- the tighest possible roll would be 79mm(if rolled with emonty's fingers :laugh:) so your 60mm should fit given that you roll it again after...
Andy, I just put 125mm in my mini :D my brother & I both used TomCatt's calculator: 98 for 2.5mm(Orion) -- end result --> 85mm, I learned from my brother's mistake :facepalm: I mean "experience" :laugh::laugh: & took 16mm off the 141 calculated result--> 125mm fit pretty tight but it fit ;)
yay! got our order today too :banana::banana: although my brother got the jump on me -- rolled his 1st wick already :glare::glare: LOL he used TomCatt's calculator & believe me tried his DAMest ta roll a 100mm wick for his Orion -- EPIC fail! :facepalm: :laugh::laugh: @ the end he managed ta jam...
LOL my brother will do just fine living abroad -- B4 he gets on any lists, he checks out all the specs 1st in mm :blink: he even bought metric bits to bore out the air holes on his Bliss :rolleyes: :laugh: :laugh:
thanks BJ for the answers :) "cone shaped dremel diamond bits" added to my brother's Home Depot shopping list :laugh: as for the fill holes -- I use the tips of toothpicks for mine & my brother uses small pieces of mesh for his, I take that for optimal wicking -- they'll have to go then :unsure...
Thank you BJ for this "Game Changing" thread! :thumbs:
thanks to my friend Pega ;) for sharing the link to this thread :toast:
and thanks to all who contributed their knowledge & humor :thumb::thumb:
about 25 pages into the thread -- we(my brother & I) were sold & placed our order, while we...
my brother's pride & joy :D he has no account here so I'll post it for him :blush:
polished Bliss on a 18350 Paps, almost looks like a 1 piece hybrid :ohmy:
NP, there're always great peeps here & many tech wizards ;) :thumb::thumb: I'm still a newb myself :blush:
yep, back ta catching up for me as well :blush:
anytime ferret, that's what I love about this place :) and TY for providing the chance for me ta give a lil' back ta the thread ;) the fill hole position is another great design by the Zen Master -- it's on the oppsite side of the wick with the center post in the middle, so I would think both...
ferret, here's a great vid on wick oxidization & coil wrapping, much like the "Jack Frost" method --> Wrapping A Genesis Atty Using Rolling Paper - YouTube
the fill hole has no cover, I've been using vic's "toothpick trick" -- plugging it up after filling the tank with the tip of a toothpick &...
shhh elf ;) :laugh:
the "gangsta wick" is a stuffed wick, mwa calls it a "double wick" -- a stock sized wick stuffed
inside a larger diameter wick.
TY elf for the inspirations & great ta have ya back ;) :)
