    I've had a STM for several months and never once had a leaking problem with it. Leaking from the AFC holes indicates either a flooded coil or the coil is loose or over-tightened to the base. Check the o-ring on the coil to make sure it isn't damaged. No experience with the iStick 40's, sorry.

    Do you know what coil you have installed, and what settings you are using on the mod? Sounds like you're under-powered for the coil or the coil is flooding and you're getting spitback - hot juice coming up the chimney and into your mouth.

    The coil specs should be engraved on the side of the coil body. It will say "Ni200" or similar if it's the nickel coil.

    Take the tank off and flip it over - the juice will stay in the top part of the tank. You can unscrew the tank base and not lose any juice and check/remove the coil.
