    i have great success by blowing out excess water after they cool, letting them dry on a paper towel overnight, blowing them out again, and then putting them in my food dehydrator on high (165 F) for 3-5 hrs.

    i think i answered my own question. The heating wire is looped out of the polyfill material and down through the tube in the center of the carto. I think this is the problem, half of the heating element isn't in the polyfill....does that sound right?
