A lot has happened since joining ECF

Nearly at one week of quitting, and all is well. I can't believe I just wrote that - it's like an oxymoron after past quitting experiences. :) I've also been testing how I go with the weight gain that's typical when quitting. I'm at a good weight, and don't want to gain. I got on the scale this...

How much e-liquid do you use?

I've recently quit smoking, so I'm smoking about 5ml per day. I DIY, so the expense is minimal. I also have another e-cigarette with WTA, but I only use about .5ml per week of that.

Thank you! :) I have WTA ordered too. It takes awhile to process and ship I've found.

@Falconeer @WhiteHighlights - thanks a bunch! I actually do think I've got this. And I've never said that before about quitting smoking.

    New to site, burning throat

I have to inhale too - I can't do the mouth-nose thing. AND I get sore throats. I try to help this by taking shallow sips, rather than big inhales. It does help a bit. I also practice not inhaling sometimes, hoping it will become more comfortable. :) Good luck!

    Pretty overwhelming!

It can absolutely be overwhelming, and I too believe in keeping it simple. I started with Green Smoke cigalikes, then went on to VaporFi pens. I stayed with those for over a year, and got a good sense of what it's all about, and my own preferences for liquids, PG/VG ratios, and hardware. Even...

Yep, ECF helps a LOT! I can't believe the help, support, advice, and information I've had from this forum. I'm actually doing so well though, I can hardly believe it. I keep waiting for a real bad day, or at least a real bad craving, but honestly, I barely feel like I'm quitting. Maybe I've...

Vaping - I am about to give up due to sensativities/reactions

You might also want to get tested for any thyroid problems. Quitting smoking can unmask thyroid conditions. There's a ton of information available out there on this. It's worth looking up, if nothing else.

Yep, I agree with all of that, Andria. I call WTA "my missing link". It's surprising too, how little is needed, and how far it goes. I took about 5-6 puffs last night about 10pm, and here it is after 1pm the next day, and I haven't felt the need for it again yet. I agree with what you said in...

Hi there, Neil, and thanks for asking. :) Going great guns. I'm very happy. I keep comparing to the last time I tried to quit (cold turkey) and the difference is like night and day. I have no doubt in my mind that I can do this, and that belief is a first for me too. I'm hitting a small dose...

Trying to get girlfriend to switch from cigs to vaping.

+1 for the Innokin Endura! And welcome!

Thanks ... I did consider doing it your way, but I'm a bit like @englishmick in that it feels like going back a bit. On the other hand, if the occasional puff stops me from lighting up a cigarette, I'll take it. :)

    New starter!

Best wishes to you and your husband, Susan. Do stick around ECF, and continue to be inspirational. :)

Yes I am. I'm not sure how that will go here in the US, but seeing what you guys will be up against in the EU soon is scary. I'm starting to stockpile nicotine, and may do the same with WTA, although that's a bit more expensive. I'm not sure if I need to do the same with hardware, after seeing...

Andria, thanks for putting me on to the WTA. I only tried it last night for the first time. At first I was disappointed that I didn't "feel it" straight away like I would a cigarette. But a few minutes later, I realized that the craving had completely gone, and I felt relaxed. Does it work...

    New starter!

I love this! I'm in day 3 of quitting, and I'm surprised at how easy it is compared to past (pre ecig) attempts. Yes, the money spent on cigarettes is insane. My husband and I spent $100 per week which is a lot here in the US. I took an early retirement in August, so that sort of money isn't...

That's inspirational too. I thought I was the only one with insanity issues when I quit, with no signs of abating. My poor, poor husband. He was a saint in that time. I think he is somewhat in combat-mode at the moment too. LOL!

    Cloud Bursting

@stylemessiah - The average movie ticket here is $10-12, if not 3D. And about the same for munchies/drinks. LOL @ Tim Tam slam. I taught it to some of my American friends. :D
