Most vapors don't have a clue about safety with apv's...battery or otherwise sadly.
I've tried to correct much misinformation that vapers have but they don't want to hear it because.....they watched a YouTube video!

Sorry you're having problems Jess and I suspect it is VG which as Andria said is like "glue". I have long warned about high VG jooz making me extremely congested so I avoid as much as possible and stick to 50/50 mixes or higher PG blends. I kept my opened pack of Kools for 6 months and then...
Welcome to the forums SpookyWooky!
What about just getting a digital voltmeter?
I found quite a few reasonably priced meters on Amazon.
Pm me and I'll send you them.
Have fun making coils and be safe vaping!

If you haven't tried the Kabuki Tank by House of Hybrids you are absolutely missing out on the best new tank!
It can be used with a coil made by Avid Vapers {HH .357 fame} or it can be used with the Aspire coils in 1.6 or 1.8 ohms.
I have several {LOVE them!} but if you want a long lasting non...
Starbright can I ask why you think you can't use PG?
One reason people don't like PG is because it can give you more of a throat hit unlike VG which gives you none.
Using a high degree of VG is in my opinion not safe at higher wattages.
Not doubting you but curious as to why for this reason, I...
Do not let the stores talk you into buying gear you aren't ready to use or anything you don't have experience with.
Your main objective should be to find out if you like:
1) a cool vape
2) a hot vape
3) VV/VW or mechanical mods {get what you like} iStick 40W is great as Shannon suggested!
4)...
Many B & M's will rebuild coils for you but charge a fee usually between $5-10.00
It is fairly straight forward to learn how to rebuild. :D
In fact the shop near you should be willing to teach you.
Vape safe and if they suggest you go sub ohm or use a .15 coil?
Find another place! lol

Okay if you simply want reliable gear I would suggest you use something like a Reo. http://www.reosmods.com/index.php
There is a long time Reo group right here on ECF who would be glad to help you sort through using the device if need be.
The Reo's incorporate a "all in one bottom fed system"...
That is likely because you're using a sub ohm tank.
Try a different tank like the Aspire using a 1.6 ohm coil using 18 and you'll see a big difference.
Sub ohm tanks tend to magnify the effect of the nicotine by using extremely low ohms and higher wattage.
Try 10 watts with a 1.6 or 1.8 ohm...
In the past when we have written in to news organizations their reasons for not correcting stories about vaping is too cite that lame FDA report from 2009.
They claim they don't have to actually research just claim whatever articles they have been sent.
So much for integrity.......smh

It is quite possible that you may be losing potassium or need some.
Have you asked your doctor about *RL syndrome?
*Restless Leg Syndrome
You could try eating a couple of banana's everyday and it should help.
Not sure if vaping increased my RL but it did go away after I started vaping!

I'm not a fan of 100% VG jooz as I find it to be more congesting than using a 50/50 blend.
Also some tanks don't wick well using high VG jooz.
I prefer gennies over anything sub ohm as I find it gives better flavor and big clouds if that is your raison d'etre.
I love the Kabuki tanks from House...
I'm loving the new "Hawaiian Cookie" from Big Willies.
Incredibly delicious. Not too sweet but rich tasting and OMG it smells incredible!
This is one you really have to try for yourself words just don't do it justice!
You should be able to find it at Giantvapes soon or on Willie's FB page.
I use...
