Are you using Sally's Rayon? If so start with about half of the strip for a 2.5mm coil. Maybe pinch just a little off or slightly stretch it. Roll it up and pull it through until you feel a little squeak/friction.
Q is using Rayon, not cotton. Rayon shrinks after break in, unlike cotton which expands. Are you using cotton? You don't want to stuff cotton in like you would rayon.
True, but if i can get my own coil/spring to work i can just make a handful of them at a time and just pop them in when needed. It is still faster and no need to have wire cutters on you. Maybe it will be better with the Titanium springs and TC since the lower ohms won't matter with TC. Or maybe
Picked up a 510 kabuki in the classifieds a few days ago, hasn't arrived yet but i've read this entire thread and i'm super excited. I'll admit i was one of the people who was very skeptical after being burned by a few replacement coil tanks in the past but i just couldn't resist any longer. As...
I believe once the pre-order closes, it will take Imeo two months to make all the parts and then he will ship them out to people who bought directly and vendors.
Will just the bottom piece of the new D-Base V2 be available for purchase?
I have my Sophia V2 in the original D-base tank right now and love it but i can only use it on mods with AFC top caps. Would love to be to use it on all my mods.
So, has anyone tried using a smaller diameter coil? I believe the stock coil is 4mm id, that's pretty massive. I would imagine the flavor would increase with a 2.5-3mm coil instead.
But since both the coils leads attach on the same side, the coil would be off center. I guess you could make it work but without one in hand it's hard to say.
Me too, but what i have read in the FX thread from multiple Aqua V1/V2/SE users is that it's more airy and not as flavorful. That has kept me away from trying it. I do like the looks and idea of it. You don't find many RTAs designed strictly for vertical coils.
