    For commercial e-liquids, 12 is typically 1 step up from 6. i smoked more than you and 6 works well for me; that's why i suggested you start there then go higher if needed. Starting w/ 12, as UncleJunkle said, will be fine, too, & might be better for you. Either way, experiment a little to find...

    Everyone is different. You have to experiment to find what works best for you. Nic from vaping isn't quite proportionate to nic from smoking. From your top post, you know 3mg isn't enough for you. Maybe try 6mg, see if it satisfies, go higher if it doesn't.
