    Printed DNA30 Bottom Feeder

Maybe if we don't include springs for the switches but only provide magnets. That would make it less painless. More like a root canal than a full tooth extraction.

New to Modding... Want to build a DNA40?

Thanks for the review. I didn't expect them to be good but I was hoping for acceptable. I also had hopes for the cradle. It looked nice, holding the buttons and the usb charger. Thanks for saving the rest of us the disappointment.

Building a "hana" style mod with the fasttech enclosure: looking for tips, tricks, and suggestions

Neatness. Big solder blobs are more likely to be cold solder joints. Shorting those hole pairs won't cause problems buy you shouldn't try to do it.

    RDA Best Single Coil RDA

I agree with an earlier posts: igo-l. Simple. Small chamber gives good flavor. It doesn't hold many drops. I set mine up as a bottom feeder. That way low capacity isn't a problem, it is an asset. For dripping, I prefer the magma. It also has a small chamber and is easy to build single coil. I...

My R-Hana Style (cana) Bottom Feeder with the DNA40

Very nice work. I didn't think you could fit a chip and a bottle in there. Milling out that 1.5mm depth seems to have made all the difference. I am just putting in a mosfet to make a mechanical Cana bottom feeder. A DNA40 bottom fed Cana is much nicer. By the way, your English is excellent and...

BOTTOM FEEDERS= a place for everything modified and/or custom made

Has anybody else noticed that recent FatDaddy classic 510 connectors have very loose 510 threads? I have 3 that I am trying to use with GDeal's bottom feeder mods. Even removing the delrin my zenith atty only catches one thread. My protank only catches on 1/2 a thread. I also have problems with...

    Evolv DNA 20

You can vape on the FT imitation dna30 while it is charging on the usb. I did it all the time until the usb socket broke. DreamWithin is correct that it isn't a true passthrough. No high wattage mods are or can be. The 500ma limit on usb 2 or even the 2 amp limit on some chargers would only give...

wood box regulated squonker v0 - Parts list

Brass, copper, tinned anything are all good choices for battery contacts. Springs are usually crummy. Someone else can probably tell you better which is best.

Building a mini hana style box

tchavei: Keep us all posted on your progress. I am curious about fitting an 18650 in there. I'm sure it can be done but will take lots of grinding. Does it come with a lipo or an 18500? Good luck. I am sure you will enjoy the box mod form. It doesn't fall over and spill you dripper's/gennie's...

    Best flavor RTA.

The rose v2 and the taifun gt (gts, gt2) are my flavor favorites. Erlkoenigen comes in third. The rose v2 has a bit better flavor than the taifun but it is a pain to build and only holds 3.7ml vs 5ml on the taifun. If you can put up with a gennie I like the kraken. The glass tank is...

BOTTOM FEEDERS= a place for everything modified and/or custom made

I don't like the throat hit of PG. I also suspect it caused my gums to bleed. I still have 3/4 of a liter of it but I use straight vg diluted with 5% distilled water. It doesn't take much to thin it out. I used 10% for a while but it made my gennies leak if tipped on their sides. I don't have a...

which DNA 30 boxes either original or clone, are easy to slide a new DNA 40 into?

Evolv still makes the small screen DNA40. You don't have to make a larger slot. It's a tradeoff. Bigger screen vs. no cutting.

    MOSFET or something else?

Thanks for catching that. I didn't mind my p's and n's. I edited the post to correct that. It is the n-fet that you can connect the tab to the box/510 outside/negative.

    MOSFET or something else?

One advantage of the n-fet is the tab is connected to drain. Thus you can connect it to your case and thus the outside of the 510 connector without fear. It just gives you another switched current path and good heat dissipation. With an p-fet you need to isolate that tab.

Dna 40 freaking out in the cold

Unfortunately, it sounds like you have a glitchy dna40. You will probably have to pull it from you mod and send it back to evolv. They will send you a new one that you get to reinstall. I don't know this for certain but this sounds like some of the problems folks have reported over in...

    MOSFET or something else?

It is harder to find p-channel fets with low rds-on at reasonable on voltages (3.0 to 4.5 volts). That's one reason many folks opt for the n-channel fets. The only hard part is you can't ground the battery negative to the box. It has to be switched through the fet. This isn't a problem if you...

BOTTOM FEEDERS= a place for everything modified and/or custom made

Don't disolve the Corian, it is too beautiful. Acetone has no effect on the aluminum that all my low class mods use. Hammond and cana clone boxes are immune so I use acetone freely. Good luck on getting those magnets out.

BOTTOM FEEDERS= a place for everything modified and/or custom made

You can try acetone to dissolve the ca. It softens up pretty easily. Then drill just a small hole in the magnets to pry them out. They might even spin free when you start drilling. Your original plan is the best. the magnets should act as the keys. You just need to remove that glue and CA is...

Tips for newbie to 3D printer?

Mamu got a 3D printer recently. She has printed up some boxes and bezels. She said that she takes it very slowly. Over an hour for a box with sides, lid not included. Lots of time lining things up. She posted about it in Breaktru's forum. Enjoy it. They look like lots of work/fun. And have a...

show off your mech! homebuilt mods only!

Speedometerman: I like your lexan mod. Lexan is pretty easy to work with. It cuts, sands and glues up easily (love that clear solvent glue). Yours came out beautiful. I am curious about your micro usb charger. I understand it is a 1000mA charger. It looks like this one: 10pcs Micro USB TP4056...
