    I bumped mine up to 500 and what a difference! This on a Kayfun with cotton, so I am gonna keep an eye on it, but so far so good. Thanks!! :toast:

    From Brandon's explanation, I got that the 400 degrees is the temperature right below cotton's scorch point of 410. If the limit is 400, your cotton will NEVER burn, even if vaped dry. That is why I am using 400. A few of my friends have gone to 450, and notice a slight effect if it gets dry...

    I make "contact coils" and they seem to be doing fine. I fired it in short bursts on the DNA40 and it heated just like a Kanthal coil.

    So far it is just really touchy, pulses almost like pulse-modulated mod, cuts off due to temp control, etc ... BUT I think all of that will resolve when I get my other guages of wire and can wrap coils that will be agreeable to the chip. So I am waiting on Amazon and the USPS. :unsure:

    At Michael's Craft Store in the jewelry making section. I think it is to make jump-rings. It came with a 2nd one also, that went from 6mm to 10mm.

    Yeah ... I was sort of freaking out at the 0.06, but I was in the "Kanthal mind-set". LOL It runs better with upping the temp to 410 max, but that is still at 23watts. I did a single coil also, trying to get up around the >0.10 ohm range, and this one reads anywhere between 0.14 to 0.18ohms...

    Hey all .... had my DNA40 Hana now for a couple of days, and I am not sure I am liking it. :unsure: I got Ni200 28g, did dual coils, 10 wraps on a 3mm mandrel each side, and it's reading at 0.05ohms on the Hana. I set the temp control at 400 degrees (for cotton?) and I keep getting the temp...

    sedge - mine seems fine, have UFO and iGo-M drippers on it, and no problems at all except trying to get my resistance up high enough. LOL The 28g is nice to work with, but too low IMHO, so I have some 30 and 32 coming.
