Good morning Lurkers :) I didn't get ear infections when I was young. Mine started in my late 20's. Both drums ruptured and didn't hear at all for 6 months or so. The pain was worse than labor. I have had one ear go through similar 2 times since and both ears again once. I had an ear ache...- JoanJ

I am a groundling... One of my sons was a climber from wee little. He climbed before he walked. He could shimmy up door facings. I never looked on the ground for him. Had him to ER 3 times in as many months and pretty sure they thought I was abusing the kid When 11 or so he started...- JoanJ

I probably packed 50 or more handbags when I moved her to WV from SC a few years ago. I tried to get them into the yard sale but she wouldn't have any of it. These aren't cheap ones... I am talking Coach, Perlina, and the like... Perlina is what I have now and for ever it seems but she buys...- JoanJ

I do that a lot. Drivers license has been renewed. Visited mom and took her food and a few other things. After yesterday, wasn't sure how she would be but she was quite happy and that is all that matters. Off to veg out in my chair, stomach has been acting up for the past couple weeks so...- JoanJ

All Quiet on the West Virginia Border: The National Radio Quiet Zone The Green Bank Observatory is out and open to the public but always wondered about the Naval base in the middle of nowhere and with no water around. May be decommissioned but still can't see in from the road... high walls...- JoanJ

My mom lived in Walhalla, it was hot but not too bad because was at the base of the mountains and got a cool......for SC.....breeze. Also have family in Anderson, Seneca, and Greenville SC. Today is mom's birthday. She is hoping that turning another year older will change something in her...- JoanJ

My hubby doesn't like HOT. I can handle the heat fairly well but hate sand :D I would prefer a little further South, perhaps SC because of the low cost of housing and all the benefits for seniors down there. It would be our winter place. Can't do any of this for a few years at least but I...- JoanJ
