Ours is an outdoor wood burner so you go to it to put wood in. We don't use that pretty looking neatly stacked stuff, it will take a 3x3x4 ft chunk if you have what it takes to get a lump of wood that size up to the opening and into the hole :D

I really don't know but that is what was suggested so will do it their way the first time and then see how it goes, some say 30 min others an hour but seems those saying 30 min tend to only be doing one pizza so will just use this as a starting point.

what coffee do you like? I have a costco membership and order quite a bit from them online. It is a 3 hr drive to the nearest one. Hubby passes one on way home but will only get non perishables so a couple times a year, I will go and take a carload of coolers and buy meats and such

I know what you mean. My big skillet is what I use to make sourdough biscuits and I end up burning myself on the handle about 90% of the time. I now have a couple silicone gloves and they work pretty good, still feel I need to move fast though
