He's talking about cleaning these things with the filler ring in place. If you use water it's very hard to get all of it out. Vodka evaporates quickly without the need to syringe it out.
One juice I remember distinctly is Vermont Vapor Cool Mint. I used it when I first started out. Clear as water and my attys almost never needed cleaning. I'm sure there's others out there like that.
I kinda doubt it. The TV Tobacco/Menthol I use clogs them up after about 3ml.
I do know mine is made from macerating real tobacco leaves... maybe that's why.
I tried cleaning an E2 with the filler ring in place.. once. It's doable but kind of a pita. I'd rather take the filler ring out and put up with a little leakage.
Gotta give bad credit, though. Weren't you the first to take a tube cutter to these things? Or did br steal that idea too?
Edit: Oh, and who was the guy that first thought of putting PTB in these things? The name escapes me at the moment...
ROFL I'm trying to come up with something to say... Nope, can't do it justice. :p
"Dr. Cartomizer"
Edit: Get yourself a funny hat if you're going to do more videos. :)
It's not the juice above the cup I'm worried about - it's the juice that gets into the air tube. There's nowhere to blow that (except out the bottom of the carto into the connector).
It doesn't matter, I'd never find cartos in that resistance range anyway...
I e-mailed Ken to see if he can make a parallel dual 14500 box regulated down to 3.1v or so. Since he puts a regulator in his BB VV anyway it should be doable (if he's willing).
Nobody told me there was going to be math... oh wait, there isn't! :p
Thanks for the link... I've bookmarked it. So I'll need a carto about 4.4Ω to get to 3.1 watts on a 3.7v device. Wonder if e-liquid.cn has any factory seconds lying around...
Ken does make a Big Brother VV.. I've got one. The only thing wrong with it compared to the 3.7v box is the battery life.
What I'd REALLY like to have is a BB 3.7v regulated to about 3.2v. Probably doable but I doubt it would be practical (or popular).
Well, it's like this:
While I have two VV mods made by Ken at boxmods.net, I was lured by his newer Big Brother 3.7v box, which holds two 14500's in parallel (and lasts a looong time). I bought it knowing my 3Ω E2's were coming and was hoping to make it my all day box mod. Based on my recent...
Crap, I must be smarter than I look.
What's interesting to me is that the lower wattage not only keeps the wick cleaner longer, it tastes better as well. Any ideas on what resistance I'd have to have at 3.7v to mimic a 2.6Ω carto at 2.8v? I guess I'm shooting for approx. 3 watts, correct?
