br,
Weren't you doing some tests on gunk build-up? I'm finding that I get about 30% less vape time between cleanings using a 3Ω E2 at 3.7v versus a 2.6Ω E2 at 2.8v. I'm going to play around with the 3Ω at reduced voltage but judging from the taste difference it seems like the 3Ω at 3.7v is...
Next time you want 14500's (or 18650's or 16340's for that matter) try these guys: Lithium-ion Batteries
It's where I get mine. They're fast and cheap. ($5.64 a 2-pack)
The PTB will handle the heat only for a short period of time, then it starts to shrink and gets brittle. I tried laying a bit over the coil and got the same result. It works great "near" the coil, but not in contact with it.
bad, don't waste the postage sending me one. I trust your review of them.
Edit: Make sure you send br one, though. No telling what he'll MacGyver it into...
I've tried just the filler ring upside-down and I haven't had your luck. I can't say it's worse than using the middle ring but I didn't see much difference between the two.
Some of the R2's had glue issues, but the plastic cup/filler ring never had any issues that I know of. People were nervous the things might melt but I've never seen or heard of it happening.
I think a good working solution would be to have them start making the filler rings out of PLASTIC again, and sizing them so they press fit into place over the cup. My R2's don't leak a drop no matter which way I hold them, and the filler rings aren't hard to remove/replace.
zioDman I have to wonder about the entire design. Even if you got it to wick you're still left with a coil that can't be easily cleaned (from the pics I've seen). That would last me about 1 day of normal use. Any workable design is going to have to allow access to the coil.
I dunno bad I don't think so. I've tried several drip tips on mine. The problem is when you lay it down juice gets into the cup through the slots and finds its' way into the airtube. If I had a middle ring with a couple of nubs on the bottom the right size I could probably block most of the...
I'm having great luck with the 3Ω R4 shorties, but with the filler ring out I'm constantly having to remember NOT to lay it down flat. If I could come up with a simple leak-stoppage method (aside from PTB) that didn't impede wicking I'd have this thing licked.
Picked this up yesterday at Walgreen's:
It's about 4 3/4" overall. Pretty heavy stainless construction. One end is slightly spoon-shaped and makes removing the various rings a lot easier. The other end is good for pushing them back in. $5.99.
