    Thanks for the links! That'll make things a lot easier. As to not being pretty after two weeks in the woods, you're not far off. It's a medieval S.C.A. event, so that means it's a two week drunken costume party. I'm a bagpiper. You do the math.

    You're right. My lantern gets by for well more than the two weeks on four D cells. I was just trying to get a smaller set-up. Thank you for the advice. If I could ask one more favor, which method would you recommend for the C or D cells? I try searching, but my mind boggles quickly on here.

    Hmmmm The 18650 seems a bit pricey for the woods and we run into the recharge problem again. The three D cells sound promising, but rather large. Well, I'll keep searching. Any ideas or gentle nudges to blueprints would be appreciated.

    I go on a two week camping trip every year and recharging kr808-d batteries is going to end up more trouble than it's worth. I'd like to build a box that uses a 9volt and resistors to bring the voltage down to 3.7-4.7. Does anyone have any plans for such a device? I'll take the threaded part...

    I don't think this happens with kr808-d auto batteries. I did a gig onstage in a bar yesterday and walked around a lot near the speakers as well. No unwanted heat-ups.

    It only feels like cheating because it works. I still consider myself a smoker, but haven't had a smoke since early January. I'm a vaper, now, not a smoker.
