    completly safe, most new batts wont care what charge their at...well if it has a PCB (protection circut board) the stop power at 2.75vdc and stops charging at 4.2vdc...it will work if the charge is between those two voltages. when you take off a charger before the led greens on, it may be so...

    well, i can say i don`t always wait for red light to turn green and still get a long uswe time out of them...you got a volt meter? if it reads over 3.7 use it...i get anywhere from 3.7 to 4.2 on a 16340 batt, and would think same on 18350 batt...
