    Try screwing the adapter on the cartomizer first then putting it on the battery see how that works. I have used madvapes 901 (battery) to 510 (boge cartomizer) and it does work but with all adapters its normally best to put it on the cartomizer first.

    some adapters allow for more airflow than others (it gets more confusing because 901's need far less air flow than 808's but have the same threading and you sometimes see 901/808 adapters that are really more for 901's)

    I always use the syringe you can just pop the plunger out of the back and pour the Boba's in....there normally cheaper anyway. Your not just fighting the viscosity of the juice when you try and suck it out but also the fact that that most bottles don't let much air in so the bottle fights back.
