    Not in my experience... When making a coil with the silver wire, I seem to get the exact resistance I previously measured on the R wire unlike when using the nickel NR wire where I seem to get higher resistance no matter what I try doing.

    I've tried using Vaseline in the past and haven't noticed it get gunked up. But that doesn't mean that it didn't... I've been going bare metal for a while, too.

    You can also use an 801 Whistle tip... It goes on tight and stays there. It will also help tighten up the draw a little bit.
