Unscrewing the mouthpiece creates a lesser volume of space available in the tank, so the liquid starts to get pushed out if the tank is full...     You can still use it if you want to but it's just a pain to clean off. It gets kind of gunky and dirty looking after a little while and you'll need to wipe it off and reapply. I think you would be happier not using it, just my :2c:

    Yea, it fits a P+ and works perfectly because of the adjustable center pin... Now, I love my P+ and I love the ODY but I don't necessarily like them together that much. I know I'm probably too picky but to me the ODY is just a little too wide for the P+ or the P+ is too narrow for the ODY...

    I very thin layer of vaseline is actually suggested and preferred. Noalox is good for aluminum but you are getting SS.
