    1.5Ω is the bottom limit of the eGrip. I've been running 28ga at 10 wraps on a 2mm rod....or a 9 wrap on 2.4mm rod. No problems.

    I also have the eGrip and RBA. I have been using 28ga Kantral A1 at 10 wraps on a 2mm rod and now 8 wraps on a 2.4mm rod. (1.5 ohm coils) LOTS of reading for you here, as well as builds for the eGrip ;)...

    I use tweezers to hold the leg at the coil, bend with finger, and cut to length. V, glad to see the jig and it's working :D Your guy does good work :toast: I don't un-wind the first turn or three....but that's just me ;) I tension wrap the whole way.

    I been using 28ga with 10 wraps on a 2mm rod (screwdriver) but have stepped up to a 2.4mm rod on my tension coil builder so its 8-9 wraps depending on leg length. I'm just trying to picture how close that bottom wrap is to the post...and seeing its black/burnt.....but no issues ?
