    Need help please

Just got into building, but I was turned on to tension wrapped micro coil building. It works good for me 8w-20w in my eGrip w/ RBA. 28ga Kanthal A1 on a 2mm rod for 1.5 Ohms (now running 8 wraps on 2.4mm rod for 1.5 Ohms) Don't forget to add the legs length into the Ohms calculator. ;) Coil...

Just went to a tension coil, and I will say its better than my twisted on a screwdriver ones....but its a new coil Vs. a burnt one also. As for the hole not aligning....mine are behind the posts :( BUT, I did this before, added a bit more cotton tucked in the bottom with a needle tip bottle and...

    New Joyetech 20watt eGrip

Only time I had issues with leakage was due to the way I wicked the RBA or blew into the drip tip to clear some pocket lint from the air hole in the RBA. I carry mine in my pants pocket through all extremes of temperatures (outside in the teens - hot places at work +100* all in the same hour -...

The wood block is just the holder. It is drilled 2.5mm to accept the 2.4mm rod.(which is removable) The coil is wound with the wire across the top using thumb pressure for tension, the amount of turns I need, then wire cut and screw loosened. Pull the rod out of the block and slide coil...

    New Joyetech 20watt eGrip

Yes, wound under tension. Used the screw to hold the wire and turned under constant pressure the full way and cut....first 3 are in pic. (learning curve) and center bottom one looks best (tight) leg to leg. Pic can be saved and then opened in paint to zoom ;) (but a lil' fuzzy) Now I need o...

I don't mind it being a little loud...but I'm sure anyone in a stall close to me "may" think it's the sound of a "water pipe" I did find by wicking a little heavy helped with the noise/gurgle sounds

Breaking the seal, so to speak. After opening the door to fill, both holes will have some juice in them, so giving a little squeeze/suck clears the holes of juice (just need to do one) so it will allow air to flow out as you're filling....that's all it does, and yes there are other ways, but IF...

I use the squeeze type bottles, and squeeze out some air before putting into the fill hole, release the bottle to suck out the vent hole before filling (on a 45*, bottom up) . Works most of the time.

Kyi, I had this issue the other day...I was at work and with no back up :( I found the 1 screw was a fuzz loose...first time. Second time I found the 1 coil leg (loose one) was too far in and touching the side. Just something to look at if/when it happens ;)

I noticed mine quieted down on a few of my DIY coils depending on the amount of cotton used.(may have choked off the air flow some too since the draw got tighter.) Just picked up a 30' spool of 28ga kanthral from the B&M store, so I have some work to do

    New Joyetech 20watt eGrip

Made sure to add a bit more cotton and to have it tucked around bottom....nothing around the screws or air hole/coil area.

I noticed the fist time mine leaked was after a new coil in the RBA... Me being new to RBAs, I found it was me and the way I tucked he cotton.(or lack there of) After fixing my mistake, it was GREAT again  I also learned I could tighten up the draw by how much cotton wick I used
