I have begun to get what I need for the minimalist set-up... I have ordered an IGO-L dripping atomizer. I will of course try it out on my VAMO but the main reason I ordered it was for The Natural. That will be ordered soon as well. I will be using a single 18650 in The Natural... do I need a...
I would say higher awg wire (32awg) for sure in a 5/4 wrap should give you 2.2-2.3ohm. Mine is at 2.3ohm. Also, try torching the wire before making a coil out of it... I haven't yet because I keep forgetting but I have noticed that when mine finally oxidizes, it doesn't have the hot top coil...
I actually thought about that... but the Natural looks good to me and I have a buddy, my best friend, that I introduced to vaping who I could pass it on too. He is getting one of my spinner 1300's and doesn't even know it yet.
LOL I am usually between 8 and 9 watts. Ok, so I think I will try it out. I will get a multimeter and I think I will try the Natural then... that way if it isn't all that, I haven't spent that much money.
It does help... I drive a manual... I feel more in control of the car and it feels more raw to me. However I like to drive an automatic from time to time as well. :)
I also use spinners... I am just trying to broaden my understanding and perhaps my taste. I love my VAMO, it does what it says but as was mentioned in other threads... if it breaks, can I fix it? Probably not. So I would have to shell out more money than I want just to have a working one +...
People seem to like "mechanical mods" and I have been looking at a few. I think I understand what it is and correct me if I am wrong... this is my understanding of what it is:
A tube that holds a battery or two that has a momentary switch (on when held down/in and off when let up/out)...
I have had my new coil in for a two days... its great. What sucks is when it gets down to about 1/4 of a tank left it gurgles. I even added one more EVOD flavor wick to it making a total of 3 flavor wicks. I don't mind, I use the gurgle as a reminder to refill the tank.
It's wicking decent... however, after two hits I have to let it wick some more. I think a 2mm wick would work much much better over the 3mm I am using. It was easy to get into the smooth bore wick hole but a pain to get in the threaded hole. If I try this again it will be with 2mm silica...
It could be possible that the juice isn't wicking all the way to the top or the top coil going to the positive post isn't making full contact (loose). Of what I know from installing car stereo's is that were the most heat is located is usually a short from resistance (loose or bad connection)...
My favorite vape still is Mom and Pop's famous 5 layer however, I am always on the look out for other types of juices. If I had to rank the two I have I don't know that I could... both Chuck Norris and Unicorn Blood are good to me. They are different from each other but I can't give an edge to...
I am actually enjoying this... gives me something to do with my hands and the different results I am getting are adding to my learning experience. I am going to try a few more SS wicks using different methods. Now that I have some butane for my mini torch I should be good to go.
I have set the wick aside... I was getting a metallic taste so I decided to make a U wick... from my 3mm silica wick. I put one more wrap around the wick and it is now right dead even at 3.0ohm. now using a 6/5 wrap. I hate to say it but I am getting more vapor and more flavor... no other mixing...
It seems to be pretty a pretty good RBA. I have noticed the insulator in the bottom center of the positive post that runs through the RBA is fragile. Mine broke and I had to use the spare that comes with it. Its the clear/white silicone piece at the bottom of the three nuts on the positive post...
New minor issue... the coil is working but shorting to the edge of the mesh wick. Mind you I did completely oxidize this wick and then some. However, I did not cut off the microscopic frays on the edge of the mesh. Not a big deal as I have some 6"x6" 400x400 mesh coming... ordered two sheets at...
I finally got my 32awg Kanthal (K) A-1 wire today and decided to re-build my coil. It took two tries but the second coil I wrapped was a 5/4 coil and yielded a wonderful 2.3ohm. I tested it 6 times to make sure all coils lit up evenly and when I was satisfied that the coil was good I filled up...
