I think you can blow them out either way, but I've had better success blowing from the open end. Most of the excess liquid will be toward the threaded end and it makes more sense to me to blow it through the threaded end rather than to blow it all up the walls of the atomizer. I've seen both...
There may be some mall kiosks or even a few smoke shops will have some kits. The vast majority of e-smoking supplies have to be found on-line. Luckily, there are a lot of great juice vendors here. I hope you find what you're looking for!

The PG/VG deal is confusing. My understanding is that PG is thinner and produces more throat hit. VG is thicker and produces more vapor. A common mix to use when you're first ordering is 80%PG and 20%VG. From there you can experiment as time goes on.
