I'm already thinking of the next one after learning some lessons with this first one.
I actually have an idea to dremel out some of the insides of a smokeless owl / terminator and fitting an istick 30 in it.
Fooled around with it all afternoon. Learned that I still can't solder to save my life. This is a horribly ugly squonker but it definitely works really well. The red velcro strap was the only one I could find that was long enough and thin enough. I completely destroyed a smok mini rda trying...
Here's my drawn, erased, scribbled and redrawn idea on paper for the istick 30 side squonker.
I've already got the 1/4 inch wood and most of the parts. Fat daddy 510 connections are due to arrive tomorrow.
This will be my next build using a Sig 30 or Smok M65
both will be primarily home...
I've started gathering all the parts and tools I need to make this happen. Hopefully in the next few weeks I'll have a working version 1 powered by an istick 30.
Yup I have the same problem. Usually takes a few times on and off and a little twisting to keep the o-rings in place. It happens on the lower more than the top ones for me.
Despite the couple of flaws, it's still an awesome little topper with terrific flavor and is in my daily rotation along...
The screws have worked ok for me. I've snapped a few coils while installing so far. I think the next time I go to rebuild I'm going to see if I have any grub screws that fit...
To mod my Tobh...
I unscrewed the 510 pin, stuck a micro screwdriver through the center post hole and twisted and tugged until it came out. There are two delrin insulators in mine. I pulled them out and used flush cut wire cutters and a carpenter's knife to carefully clip a 2 mm channel top to...
In general I keep all my RTA's as upright as possible. I've got two Billow V2's and not a single drop has ever leaked. I'm sure if I left one on it's side long enough it would leak though.
I definitely like the flavor from my modded Tobh much better than the hobo.
Anyone know if I can adjust the 510 pin down so the tobh sits a little more flush?
Fasttech.com is now selling the hobo v3 for around $10. It's an ok rda. I had to hold the positive post to keep it from twisting while capturing a coil lead.
Here's a better picture
After three weeks my Terminator finally arrived. Button is a little wonky, takes a firm press at just the right spot. However I am enjoying it a lot!
Hobo v3 looks good on it...
