    Coil Build in Series

Serial coils should be good for VV/VW devices that are able to push high voltages. I haven't experimented much with it myself, but I feel that I should. :P In theory the reduced current should give you less power loss in the coil legs, and in the "no-res" coil posts, and the points of contact...

    Issue with Provari vanity rings

I haven't had that problem with the Aerotank Mega, but the ProVape beauty ring prevented my KFL clones from firing. The solution: I sanded the beauty ring with 180 grit sandpaper until the grooves were almost gone. Now it works with all my toppers.

    Protank 2/3 ego threading

I would never buy a Protank base. Why? Because it is also possible to buy an Aerotank base, which is a gazillion times better IMO. ;)

Calculating Ohms Based on Number of Coils

Formula for determining total resistance of several coils in parallel: Rtotal = 1 / (1/R1 + 1/R2 + 1/R3 + 1/R4 etc.) Simplified formula - only works when all coils have identical resistances: Rtotal = Rcoil / NumberOfCoils

    I made a calculator

Ok, so a popup window or something, where you can convert back and forth between AWG, mm, inches, drill bit sizes and needle gauges (if that differs from AWG?). That is a good idea. I think maybe I'll finish the "find the optimal resistance for your mod" calculator first, but a unit converter...

    First Provari ~ WOW!

Yeah, in the beginning rebuilding a topper was kind of a big project to me. Now, after I've done it a few times, I can do it even before I've had my morning coffee. :D

    Battery safety in mod?

My 2 cents: If the cap is loosely fitted, it will come off with little pressure. If it comes off with little pressure, the velocity will be low.

    First Provari ~ WOW!

I'm vaping on a Provari + Kayfun Lite (clone) combo right now. Using silica in the Kayfun instead of cotton, though. Very nice. I don't think you'll regret your purchase. Congratulations!

What's the hottest RDA and RBA right now?

I'd like to try the Expromizer. Very Kayfun-like. It hasn't been cloned yet, as far as I know.

Comment by 'Dampmaskin' in 'The Steam Engine (vape calc)'

The querystring parameters are updated via javascript after page load. A dynamic page title would also be updated via javascript. I may be wrong, but I doubt that the ECF link parser is javascript capable. My guess is that it will just pull the initial page title and use that for the link text...

    Single coil's and Dual coils

A dual coil cartomizer at 1.5 Ohms does not equal a single coil at 3.0 Ohm. It contains two coils at 3.0 Ohm each. So your 2.0 Ohm dual coil carto contains two 4.0 Ohm coils. The two 4.0 Ohm coils are likely made with thinner resistance wire than a single coil carto would have. In practice, a...

    Trident V2 clone

I use the same method. Ultrasonic cleaner also works well, but is not really necessary. Wash it a couple of times in soap and really hot water, and use your dish brush or some vaper towel to really massage that machine oil out. Leaving it to soak for an hour in said solution is also effective...

Recommend me an RDA for my provari stealth!

The Provari cuts off somewhere between 3.2 and 3.4 volts IME. IMR batteries can survive as low as 2.5 volts, although that wears them down faster if done too often. So I don't think draining them down to 3.3-ish should be a problem. ICR batteries are probably a different story, but Provape...

    Mods that pulse ??

The Vamos have a pronounced 33.3 Hz pulse, according to Pbusardo's graphs, and according to many anecdotes that I've come across. Edit to add: And I can hear the rattlesnake sound when I use cartos on my own Vamo V5, so there's definitely something going on there.

The AW IMR 18650 2000 mAh battery works well in the Vamo V5 IME. They have a good battery charger too.

    Parallel coils

One could argue that a parallel coil is actually an interlaced dual coil with a slightly reduced wicking ability. ;) But OTOH one could argue against that too, and I don't want to turn this thread into a long winded nitpicking contest, so I'm just going to say Congrats on your build...
