Liquid that doesn't produce visible vapor?

100% PG should do the trick. It's harsh, but not as harsh as cigarettes. It also makes you want to turn the watts down, which means you'll emit even less visible vapor.

    I made a calculator

    1) As long as the DNA can handle it, I prefer 20°C. I'm a European after all. :D If the users don't like it, I can always do some output conversion to Fahrenheit later. The temperature points for the output don't need to be the same as the temperature points in the input (materials) data...

TC beyond Ni200: Nickel Purity, Dicodes; Ti, SS, Resistherm NiFe30; Coefficient of Resistance

The option of entering an ID and a number of wraps is already on my to do-list, which by the way is unsorted, so I have no idea when. But it will be added eventually. :)

    I made a calculator

If you want to help improve the materials data, that would be fantastic. Here it is, in all its questionable glory. It's stored in JSON format, with Javascipt style comments that I strip before use. (Everything between /* and */ is a comment, and everything between // and the end of a line is a...

    I made a calculator

Alright, thanks for all the input. I've not had time to look so closely at it yet, because I've had other things on my mind, but I'll try to incorporate your suggestions in the new thing. The new thing? Yes, the new thing. After a year of pondering, a month or two of planning and gathering...

TC beyond Ni200: Nickel Purity, Dicodes; Ti, SS, Resistherm NiFe30; Coefficient of Resistance

To be honest I'm not sure either. :D Is it a significant difference, or just a tiny one? It might have something to do with the normalizing "anchor" temperature, and conversion between C and F. My calculator regards 20C as "close enough" to 70F, but I'm not sure that is a good practice. I'm...

    confused about volt and wattage....

What he said. Adjust your watts to taste. Forget about the volts. Enjoy the vape.

    Why no user upgradable firmware?

Flashing firmware always involves the risk of bricking the device if it is done wrong. End users tend to do things wrong, much more often than trained personnel. This is not something that is normally covered by warranty, for obvious reasons. Imagine a Provari being bricked during upgrading...

Is vaping at over 10w dangerous for health??

As others have pointed out already, acrolein and other nasty stuff is formed at certain temperatures. Not at a certain power (wattage). Power is just one of many factors that play together to determine what temperature the e-liquid will reach. The notion that the difference between safe vaping...

    I made a calculator

I don't know how kindly Apple look on vaping apps. To make an iOS version I would need to buy an iPad and an iPhone for testing. If Apple are just going to pull my app off the market anyway, that would be a pretty bad investment on my part, thus I'm hesistant.

TC beyond Ni200: Nickel Purity, Dicodes; Ti, SS, Resistherm NiFe30; Coefficient of Resistance

Ok, done. I also added a "How it works" section to the TCR page, where I try to explain what it's about. I'm afraid I'm not on the beta team, but I got some information from a trustworthy source that I could base the format on. I am still not 100% sure about the number of decimals...

    I made a calculator

I've started working on a calculator for computing TFR curves for combined coils, like twisting Ni200 with Titanium, or Kanthal with Resistherm. Feel free to have a peek here. (Warning: This is very much a work in progress, the user interface leaves much to be desired, and I cannot guarantee the...

I've started working on a calculator for computing TFR curves for combined coils, like twisting Ni200 with Titanium, or Kanthal with Resistherm. Feel free to have a peek here, and of you have feedback you can leave it in this thread here. (Warning: This is very much a work in progress, the user...

My decision to switch to unflavored.

I mainly vape home mixed juices with relatively little flavor. And I use flavorings from reputable manufacturers who will have a lot to lose if they get caught sneaking diacetyl into their flavorings. That doesn't make me completely safe, but safe enough for my tastes. One pre-mixed vanilla...

    Coil ohm resistance and wattage

The factor that correlates best with the recommended wattage, in my experience, is the surface area of the coil. Since thicker wire has both lower resistance and larger surface area, lower resistance appears to correlate with higher wattage, but there is no direct link. And then there is...

    Calculating Battery Discharge Time

Hi. It is correct that it is not practical to try to calculate this, because the discharge curve is different for each battery. But with a discharge chart you can estimate it. The area under the graph represents the stored energy. If you study the graph, you can see that between 4.2V and...

Same here. I prefer to call it a vaporizer, because it vaporizes. E-cigarette? The term has already become an anachronism. ;)

Idea for a safety feature. Or does it exist already?

Some higher-end mods measure the voltage sag and/or internal resistance of the battery when firing. (Which are more or less two sides of the same coin.) If the measurements are not good, the mod will tell you that the battery needs to be changed. Some mods display a generic "low battery"...
