    what's your favorite setting

I have my DNA40 set to 10.5 W right now, on a 0.21 Ω coil made out of 0.5x0.2mm Ni200 ribbon. The temperature limit is set as low as 340°F, because both the RTA and the mod have springs in them. The wattage depends on the surface area of the coil(s). The coil in your atomizer is on the smaller...

What is the rated output amps of the USB adapter?

Whem to use "neutral axis" in Steam Engine?

Hi. If I knew exactly what was going on, the checkbox probably wouldn't be there in the first place. :) In theory, the neutral axis (the plane of wire where there is no compression or stretching when bending) should be the ideal diameter to use. At least that is what I think/feel. And a simple...

    I made a calculator

Try selecting SS 316L or SS 317L, depending on what "model" of wire that you're using.

For those wondering why their Istick or other USB charged device is melting the charging port.

I wrote a guide of sorts about this some time ago. Choosing the right USB charger for your mod

    Sub-Ohm & Ohm

It's a preference thing. Sub ohm tanks are generally able to put out more vapor for the lung hitters and cloud chasers. Mouth-to-lung vapers and flavor chasers may (or may not) prefer super ohm tanks. YMMV.

    Safe battery?

Use multiple high drain batteries in parallel if you want to go that low.

    25 Watts vs 25 Watts?

In a mech mod. But if we're talking 25W at a low resistance versus 25W at a higher resistance, we're probably talking about a regulated mod.

    25 Watts vs 25 Watts?

In a regulated mod, the battery doesn't know or care about the resistance of the coil. The circuitry takes care of step-up or step-down, and the current drawn from the battery at 25W output will be more or less the same. Any differences in the vape will be due to different surface area, heat...

Whats the lowest we should go on those efest "35" amp 18650 batteries?

No, sorry. It depends on the make of the battery, how hard they've been (ab)used, individual variances, etc., etc. I don't even know how much own batteries have deteriorated. So I try to play safe. A sort of consensus around these parts seems to be that one should leave a 50% headroom in...

    Next new thing: Variable resistance?

Yes you could, but it would not be worthwhile. See above.

    watery juice?

VG should give you visible clouds, so that's a little strange, but you could try increasing the heat a little bit.

Whats the lowest we should go on those efest "35" amp 18650 batteries?

Also be aware that the amp rating is for new batteries. As the batteries age, their ability to handle amps drops. How soon, and much, you cannot know - unless you've got some badass equipment and know-how.

    What does sub-ohm mean?

Yes, it means vaping at any resistance below 1.00 ohms. What it does, is that with mechanical mods where you cannot adjust the voltage, it leads to higher power (wattage) because of the higher current (amperage). Also, because of the thicker wire normally used, it often leads to higher heat...

Plz, use Mobile app "CigToy" : Vapor's calculator...

Steam Engine Pro has Ni200 and no ads. And unlike this CigToy thing, some of the money goes to the guy who actually wrote the calculators (that would be me).

Difference between mechanical vs regular APV like the provari?

Regulated mods are generally safer. If you want to build coils without paying attention to what you're doing, I definitely recommend you buy a regulated mod, and not a mechanical.

As a responsible community, please recycle your batteries

And do take the time to cover the positive pole with some sticky tape before you recycle them. (Here in Norway all shops that sell electronics are required by law to accept used electronics for recycling. I guess other countries have similar arrangements.)

Can't get japanese cotton to wick right

Peel the top and bottom layer off the pads. Maybe wick it a little tighter than the medical cotton. Other than that, IDK.
