    It likely is only the display but it's a little frightening that it possibly could overcharge the battery and cause a fire. I think I'd better contact the company. Until I get an answer I think I'd better not try to charge it while I'm sleeping.

    After a while charging, the first bar will stay solid but none of the higher ones will. When I pull the cable, click it and can see that it's fully charged does take about 4 hours.

    Thanks Bill, that's just it though. Mine never shows it's fully charged. It just keeps showing that its charging. At first I thought it might be the older battery that I was using so I tried using a brand new Sony that was empty after being only charged once. The same result.

    Thanks for clarifying. You do mean EUC though don't you rather than ECU? I'm not familiar with the GDs. I use the EUC's and the original CCells. I'm very fond of both. From your description I don't think I'm going to try the GDs.
