I concur with the good advice you have been given by others. Since you are in Chicago you might want to pop over to Vape Bash today. Go to the VapeTV table and someone there will help you with building and showing you how to maintain your coils and wicks.
You can watch live streaming of the event on VapeTV. Last night I'm pretty sure they mentioned they will be starting the stream today sometime early afternoon or maybe earlier.
The DNA 40 chip only gives you the new/same coil menu option if it does not automatically recognize the coil as new or the same one. If it does not do this properly something is amiss.
According to YiHi the spec sheet is incorrect. For reasons I don't understand YiHi has not corrected the SX350J chip specs for minimum oHms for Joules mode on their main site. However, YiHi did correct this spec specifically in a Q & A on their SX Mini FAQ page.
Q:What is the lowest...
I don't think the hum is PWM related. Both my VAMO 2 and Innokin VTRs use coarsely filtered PWM that produces rattle snaking. The VTRs produce a very low volume hum, but the VAMOs don't. Also, neither of my rDNA40s hum so cycling power to maintain temperature wouldn't seem to be the cause. My...
Item #5 on YiHi's spec sheet for the SX350J chip used in the SX Mini indicates, .12 Ohms minimum, .55 Ohms typical and 1.0 oHms maximum for Joules (temperature protection) mode.
I've had nothing but good results using Ni200 so haven't bothered with Ti and my SX Mini isn't here yet but I've...
YiHi explains why joules is a meaningful value to users regarding vapor production but they don't indicate why they chose joules for a user input value in the context of temperature protection. I hope Busardo will be able to explain YiHi's decision because I remain totally confused as to their...
I would strongly urge anyone new to the SX350 series of chips and/or temperature controlled devices to skip this video. It will be horribly confusing as the video runneth over with wrong. 20:06 in pretty much sums up the debacle quite accurately.
Honest Vapor just put a few up on their site, YiHi SX Mini M Class. Extremely nice, reliable vendor but I don't think they have a large quantity in stock.
Someone posted that they got an email from Brandon at Evolve indicating that they designed a clearo head that doesn't have the hot legs that tend to plague pre-made coils. Evolve is sharing the design with manufacturers. Perhaps Aspire is working on ironing out that issue before going to full...
That's an ignore Forum feature—not what I was wanting. I just wish to choose to not display specific thread(s) when viewing a forum, not ignore whole forums.
I've never seen it in any sort of forum but it would be ever so nice to have a "don't display this thread" option. Any chance of anything like that being available in the new software?
According to Wlad Ahlusion juices should only be opened briefly before steeping. They don't contain stuff that needs to be outgassed and leaving the caps off for any length of time simply reduces flavor.
Try everything from Ahlusion fresh and periodically sample after that. I've never had a...
The issue with the Ni200 prebuilt heads seems to do with the fact that their construction allows for hot legs. That means that the average temperature of the the entire length of the coil that is used to calculate temperature will be off because the part of the coil that makes contact with the...
No dog in the fight here either. I think the community is fortunate that we have at least two chip makers with respectable track records for accuracy and safety who are offering temperature protection. My SX350 mods work as they should. Both my first run small and large screen rDNA40s have...
Lay two wires side by side and use the Coil Master to make a parallel coil. Unwind one of the coils and you end up with a perfectly spaced coil. That should work pretty well even with less than perfectly steady hands.
Heating the coil and squirting it with some water from a juice bottle makes...
Dan - you might want to subscribe to the Varitube SX350 thread where the post to which I linked above came from. Varitube generally has the most up-to-date info on what is going on with the current SX350 chip in that thread. I don't build but I subscribe to that thread to just keep up with the...
