    I like your setups because utilizing rather simple accessible means you are getting meaningful results. Reminds me stories about R. Wood. He built the best for his time spectrograph on a base of a sewer pipe (just in case somebody wondering - not used one). For it's cleaning he employed his cat.

    I have to admit I was wrong. I am a bit too late to this thread, and when I back a few pages I could not find about you setup. Whether you are using cigarette (puffing) machine, what you use to analyze vapor... But even without this info your results are really interesting. Thank you.

    We have pro-vaping and anti-vaping research; we cannot rely on any. Now we have manufacturer research; I never take one seriously. Nobody is going to make a research for vapers, to address their concerns. Who will fund it? Nobody will, at least till vaping became a respectable (for society) thing.

    I use exclusively cheap Chinese mods (because of my hobby - cheap vaping). No mod ever had failed. The oldest mod in rotation is a Chinese clone of Chinese iStick 30 (almost 3 years old, $24). Still running strong.

    For vaping I use nothing CE is not a certification, it is just sign that a manufacturer declare its voluntary compliance with CE requirements. All of my cheap Chinese mods in rotation have CE engraved on them.

    It should be written on label - "USP". Try to find it. If not... Some vendors put "food grade" and "USP" grade on a label simultaneously, like here...

    According to different sources that I saw absorption rate of nicotine from vapor is about 50%-90%. I like 50% better. Then your nicotine consumption is equal to not 45, but 22.5 cigarettes. I believe quite a few vapers need more nicotine when vaping compared to time when they were smokers...

    I am not so sure. USP is not the highest grade of purity, it is of sufficient purity for pharma applications. In my (not blind) testing USP alcohol was worse than cheap vodka. But I tasted two or three VG from different suppliers, and there were no difference for me. Some controversy here...
