Yes, but you have to oxidize the wick before you install it to prevent it from causing shorts. My favorite method is to dip it in VG and set fire to it four or five times. -

As long as it forms a tube, it's all good. Obviously, you coil it when it's still on the drill bit, paper clip, large sewing needle, etc. How many layers just equals how thick it is, and that's a matter of personal preference. -

I've got both, and I honestly can't tell the difference between the two, except when I'm buying it. I think it MAY make a difference when using it for a genesis or zenesis coil, but it's negligible when using it on a RM2. -

I know I'm on the verge on being the 'why don't this guy shut up about this' dude on this subject, but try some ss mesh wick if you want better flavor on your RM2. The beauty of this design is that the wide ceramic base makes SS mesh coils supremely easy, no need to oxidize the wick first. -

I may be behind some of the impetus of which you speak. :facepalm: SS mesh is a bit more durable in a wick than silica and cotton, and doesn't mute the flavor of your juice. Wrapping it around a screw, nail, bit, etc., also creates a hollow tube in the middle that's great for saturating the... -

Right. But there's different types of ribbon wire, and just want to make sure I get the 'correct' one. Do you suggest the .4 or .5 mm? Seeing a couple of good deals from a vendor in Greece. Do you suggest .3 or .5 mm? I'm thinking .3 would be easier to get in the post holes...
