What's under your lip/in your nose right now? - Part 2

It's rained he constantly and is finally leaving the 40s Wednesday. I'll be moving some more wood in before this warms up. I'm starting to wonder what our bike trip to New Hampshire starting June 8th will be like.

What's under your lip/in your nose right now? - Part 2

I can't believe it's mid May and I just fired up the fireplace again. The next three days are mid 40s with a high of 50 plus rainy. I'm probably going to need to retrieve more wood before it warms up. I better get to the basement and empty those dehumidifiers.

Yahoo, that sounds like it would have been nasty if it hadn't missed, your lucky day. That poor lady. Hitt it sounds like they'd prefer to burn down the building. However, it did remind me that my fire extinguishers probably should be checked. I have no idea how long they've been sitting...

Yeah, it's been three years, his first in ages was after I popped into his house unexpectedly on my way back from Texas. That was pretty close to right now and he hung around for two or three months and vanished again. The reason I thought of him was that article appeared in my email and I...

What's under your lip/in your nose right now? - Part 2

It just hit me that it's actually been almost 3 years to the day since I stirred Gutter out of his lair for a brief few months. I went lurking arpund on the net and everything I'm finding is like, three years old. Hope all is good with him. I've definitely become the elder statesmen of both...

All this talk about snus and snuff, yuk. I want to talk about gas. I've just about had it with the stuff. I'm not a small engine mechanic kind of guy and I keep having to rip the darn things apart to deal with the ethanol destruction. I just got done tearing a Poulan chainsaw apart because...

Pikey, I'm with you on the nasal snuff. A number of us were on that stuff for awhile, particularly in the earlier days when I still would get an urge for a cigarette I wanted to snuff out. I few whiffs and that craving disappeared for me, I can honestly say, over 9 years down the road, I...

Thanks Doffy. I've used Odens but never the extreme. I can't recall anyone on here mentioning the extreme either.

Yeah Hitt, I'm going to do all that on putting the new lights on. The trailer is now probably 8-10 years old and after playing with the right one and now this one, I wasn't happy with the lights anyway. After watching how bright LEDs are compared to the old bulbs, I just want a bit more...

What's under your lip/in your nose right now? - Part 2

I said screw it and ordered some cheap, well rated LEDs. You're right, they are frame grounded and they've been a PIA since the first instance, the right one. That only effected the right light. The left one took out all of them. The ones I ordered have the ground wire screwed to the frame.

Well, another problem solved. On Sunday some posted that they had some firewood available for free and I made arrangements to go take a look at it. I found out that we had common friends and there really wasn't much firewood, just a bunch of branches from an ash tree that had been taken down...

What's under your lip/in your nose right now? - Part 2

Anna, I know, it was just so surreal. What's even more surreal is that today I started a quest I promised to undertake. His wife told me he wanted his American Legion Post to be notified in the event he passed away. This wasn't recently and she hadn't thought about it until he was unconscious...

What's under your lip/in your nose right now? - Part 2

Yes, two hours after I left the hospital. I'm so glad I left too. I'm not sure if I could have made the drive home safely, although knowing Todd, he would have been there to lend a hand. Not sure if you saw my post on FB about what happen after I left the hospital so I'll copy it here. I'm...

What's under your lip/in your nose right now? - Part 2

My mom and her brothers were naturally expected as all reached their late 8os into the second half of their 90s, but the rest have been all way too soon. Of my four best friends from HS, only one is left and they all died before 65, from 23 (Navy mid air plane crash) to 50 and 61. Of the three...

What's under your lip/in your nose right now? - Part 2

I hear you Hitt, the same with the guy that died at 38 after being diagnosed with brain cancer at 35. I really sense this is bad. His daughter sounds pretty dire. I asked how she was doing and got, "I’m alright I guess. For now." That has made this real scary. I'm running out of close...

What's under your lip/in your nose right now? - Part 2

I'm really getting tired of this. My buddy in NJ where I own his 36 foot sailboat is not in good shape. I got an email this morning from his daughter stating, "He is currently in the ICU and intubated because they could not stabilize his BP or O2 levels. He has bronchial pneumonia and it’s...

LOL, burning firewood creates double energy. First, the energy it takes to prepare it to become firewood whether it be just stacking it or going to the extent of felling, turning it into rounds, splitting and stacking. Then comes the daily chore of un-stacking on a daily basis from outside to...
