    I'm cheap. Always wait for sales and read every review possible. $40 is about my max on a mod and $15-20 for a tank. And don't get me started on shipping charges...

    Good recommendations...Evod or AIO. T18 is another you will hear. Remember replacement coils and liquid. The liquid is where you will have to do some guessing what he would like, or get a sample pack of some kind.

    I'm a MTL vaper from way back. I still use my Protank II minis often. For bigger tanks I like Tron-s or Ego One V2 with CLR coils. You can rebuild these or just use them like any other replaceable coil. I also love my Kayfun Lites...I have 4 of them that I build simple coils at 1.5-1.8 ohms.

    Keep it simple. Something like a T18. Joyeteck AIO, Learn to vape first, then you can experiment if you so desire. Nothing wrong with unflavored. Keep an open mind and try some samples, lite fruits etc. You'll find something that's right for you.

    Nothing wrong with the joyetech aio. I have the original version. I haven't seen this version, but it's probably good. Simple...easy to use. It's a cubis tank so there are lots of coil options.

    I revert back to my vaping roots at bedtime. An ego battery with evod or protank II mini on my bedstand in a shot glass...just like it has been for 4 1/2 years. During the day it's anything goes.

    From what you are describing as your vaping preferences, I would also recommend an evod setup. That was my first step up from cig-sized (4 years ago).
