I have COPD. I find that higher levels of VG give me more phlegm and a heavy lung feeling. I keep my liquid to no more than 30% VG and even better at 20%.
Evod tank is one of the best for a ego setup. Cheap now-a-days and have replaceable coils. You could likely get and evod tank and five coils for approx $10.
Halo and SmokeLess Image products are what got me started. The mini tanks (kanger T4) made them even better at the time.
That being said, I got some out of my stash recently, but after years of bigger mods, they just didn't do it for me any longer. Those little top coil tanks can't compare to...
Yes PG will increase throat hit...but nic hit only depends on nic content.
I have COPD and can't handle too much VG (only 20-30%) as I find VG adds to phlegm. Some with asthma have similar problems.
For me, the closest thing I found to taste like I vaguely remember cigarettes to taste like is unflavored...especially at higher nicotine levels. Unflavored is slightly sweet and tastes like nicotine and nothing else. I went on my "great tobacco hunt of 2012" and finally decided it was useless.
My problem with squonking has always been finding an atomizer that is good for MTL vaping. Most are more for DL.
Lately, I've gotten the NarDa to work pretty well and have a couple of different ones on the way to test.
The concept is great once you get used to it and learn how often and how...
Very gently wiggle and pry up the center pin on the ego-t using a pin or tiny screw driver. These are notorious for getting smashed down and not making contact with the topper. You likely just need to move it a fraction of an inch. On some atomizers, you can extend the center pin on those as...
I was a 40 year very heavy smoker when I started vaping 5 1/2 years ago. Using older cigalike devices I started at 24mg. After a couple of months, I started getting signs of too much nic...sleeplessness, anxiety, woozy...what I described as running around like a headless chicken. I got some VG...
A lot will depend on the flavors. Some flavors will just never disappear. Back in the olden days with some basic atomizers, I would use cola to get rid of stubborn flavors (I haven't tried that for a long long time.). Hey, it works for battery acid, right?
I was a heavy smoker for 40+ years and yes, I have COPD. (35% lung function) My family doctor is pro-vaping. My cardiologist is pro-vaping. My pulmonologist is against inhaling anything but admits he doesn't know much about it.
I find I do better with less VG. About 20% VG is best. I vape...
I have been married to my wife for over 40 years. Until we started vaping, I never knew she smoked differently than I did (she is DL, I'm MTL). You think you know someone and then...
I completely agree with keeping it simple. Quitting smoking is much too hard to complicate it.
I have received a NarDa from China yesterday. Replaced the center post with the BF pin, washed it, put a 1.5 ohm open coil on it and a different drip tip. It has given new life to my Pico Squeeze. I you want a lot of airflow, this will not fit the bill. I have it wide open and it is perfect for...
I might recommend an Evod kit (or blister pack). That is usually good for a cheaper option, but still a tank with replaceable coils and a reasonably good amount of vapor.
Your biggest cost is going to be liquid so be sure to leave room in the budget for that.
I hope the narda is the best as my first 2 will be delivered from china next week. As a MTLer, I haven't found a good rba since my trusty igo-L. Here's hoping.
Way back in my cigalike days I used Smokeless Image and Halo. Both have PCCs I think (at least SI did). Refillable cartomizers. I never used the PCC...just took 2-3 more setups in an eyeglass case that was about the same size. In todays world I would use an Ego One or T18.
5 1/2 years ago we didn't have all of the fancy devices that are available today. I was a 43 year 3 pad smoker. I was actively trying to quit. I bought my first starter kit on a whim (a cig-sized with a cartomizer) hoping that it might help me cut down some. 3 days later I had my last cigarette...
3 doctors.
Family Doc is thrilled with vaping.
Cardiologist approves.
Pulmonologist is against breathing in anything foreign but admits he is not well informed.
you know you're getting old when you have several 'ologists'.
I got my first 5 1/2 years ago (you always remember your first). A sleek silver cig-sized with a cartomizer. It died after only 6 months use but It is now framed on the wall with my quit date. I got it on a whim, never expecting it to actually work.
For some it is just that easy. I quit right...
