    If stainless is machined or brushed with ferrous metals there will be transfer and the ferrous metal particles embedded in the SS will rust. 300 series stainless can have a light coating of rust.

    You might try the rba head and get more of what you like but yea I see your point 1.0 ohms at 50 W is 7V and 30 is 5V thats alot I cant cant imagine not burning the cotton at 7V
