    OBS Engine NANO RTA

The base of my OBS Engine Nano is ohming out at 0.5-0.8 Ohm without a coil. I believe it started after I tried to burn off the crud from my stainless steel coil. Now my coils get about 25% of the energy that the mod is putting out, with 75% of it going through the base alone. Does anybody have...

    Eleaf Lyche

I have some more experience with the tank now and building coils for it and here's what I've learned: 32 gauge stainless steel is very soft and is therefore very difficult to build coils with, I recommend at least 30 gauge stainless for coils. The regular "non-rebuildable" heads are actually...

Keeping the fill port open as you screw the top in prevents the atomizer head being flooded due to increasing air pressure in the tank. I've had my share of superheated juice on the tongue before I learned about that, now there is almost no gurgling and no spitback. Anybody have some coil...

iStick Pico resistance reading all over the place, faulty ohmmeter/rubber grommet to blame?

Oh, no, each head has its own coil with a different number of loops based on the available space.

iStick Pico resistance reading all over the place, faulty ohmmeter/rubber grommet to blame?

Damn, I didn't expect trying to get a consistent vape temperature would have me dealing with the observe effect like I'm doing quantum physics! Thanks for the information. Could you measure the live resistance range on the same atomizer in a cold state with both mods? Thank you for the video! I...

iStick Pico resistance reading all over the place, faulty ohmmeter/rubber grommet to blame?

By how much of the total resistance does the resistance vary on your coils? Do you find that contact stainless steel coils are less consistent on their resistance value than stainless steel space coils?

iStick Pico resistance reading all over the place, faulty ohmmeter/rubber grommet to blame?

All right, thanks for your answers! Fingers crossed the new atomizer does the trick.

iStick Pico resistance reading all over the place, faulty ohmmeter/rubber grommet to blame?

Can rubber grommets really cause resistance readings to oscillate by 10% every couple of second even when the atomizer is cold and at rest? I certainly hope that's the case and that I will be able to report that the problem is indeed solved when my eLeaf Lyche atomizer with RBA head (which uses...

iStick Pico resistance reading all over the place, faulty ohmmeter/rubber grommet to blame?

I've been having problems using my iStick Pico in TC mode since I got it last autumn, sometimes the mod would undershoot or overshoot the desired temperature, and the resistance it reads for the atomizer changes in unpredictable ways. Now that I've discovered the ArcticFox firmware, I'm able to...

Gross "damp" taste for a few dozen puffs after rewicking

I've just finished my first attempt and the gross taste is almost completely gone after 5 cycles of saturation and firing, I'm so happy! Though I did totally flood the airholes on my eGo ONE Mega base, which is something I had not managed to do since I've stopped using CL heads about 9 months...

Gross "damp" taste for a few dozen puffs after rewicking

Thanks for all your replies, I'm going to try wicking and pulse firing fresh cotton a few times before putting the atomizer back together. It's a relief to know that the taste isn't caused by some contaminant, the idea that I was smoking some gross garbage was more disturbing than the temporary...

Gross "damp" taste for a few dozen puffs after rewicking

So you don't have any unpleasant taste with new cotton wicks that goes away after a while? To be specific, I'm talking about wicks you've installed on rebuildable atomizers, not new non-rebuildable atomizer heads with cotton wicks.

Gross "damp" taste for a few dozen puffs after rewicking

I was under the impression that clean hands are of paramount importance when handling your cotton when rewicking, is that not true, or is there a problem with my procedures? So the unpleasant taste is just an inherent property of fresh cotton wicks? It takes several dozens of puffs for my wicks...

Gross "damp" taste for a few dozen puffs after rewicking

I'm having a bit of trouble with rewicking my rebuildable atomizer heads, they always get a gross "damp" taste for a few dozen puffs, but eventually it goes away. So far I've tried 2 different types of cotton (some cotton balls bought at a local vape shop and square sheets of organic cotton...

eGo ONE tank series – CLR coil

Thanks! Yeah, the Tornado tanks look a lot like eGo One clones. I'm very disappointed that there isn't even a top filling tankomizer to use with my fleet of CLR heads, they work really well for me, but I'm ready to move on from the old eGo ONE Mega tank. The small chamber of CLR atomizers...

eGo ONE tank series – CLR coil

Anybody have a good list of atomizers that are compatible with CLR heads? So far I've found the following: Joyetech eGo One (obviously) Joyetech TRON-S Joyetech TRON-T Wismec Venti Wismec Amor Odyssey CLL Tornado II Sub Mega Tornado II Sub Tornado II Mini Tempest
