One thing I would try is to “fluff out” the ends of the wick. I don’t know if that would help and I don’t see it as eliminating your problem. But that would increase the surface contact with the fluff.
If you experienced that with 190mm of fluff, that seems like an awful amount but for the...
Yes. The raised air hole is more forgiving. And any moisture I get on my deck is mopped up be cause I tend to use the cotton topper. I thread one end through the topper and the other I trim and place the end on the deck.
I took my v1 to work today. Pocket, no pocket. No issues. If that wont identify it then perhaps a note to the Funkmaster may be an order. Something is off
How close is the fluff to the coil? Maybe someone knows. I don’t remember using wicks that long. But then again I cant speak for certainty since I don’t have one. Also how high is the coil above the air hole?
I solved my problem with changing flavors by obtaining a few setups.
At one point I had one end of the wick up to to the fluff/juice and one down to the deck. However it sometimes led to juice being wicked DOWN if it wasn’t vaped for a while.
As for finding the size... Once I found...
I should also mention that I decant all juices I use with fluff to the bottle below. It really helps get that juice all the way to the bottom (the top upside down). This helps saturate the fluff evenly.
I believe perseas said it all best in his post. Its a varying degree for many. And I won’t say which is the RIGHT way. But the fluff will essentially allow it to “drip” onto the wick in a fashion similar to a dripper.
As for the sound no it doesn’t whistle. its almost as if someone cut a...
How smal of a coil are you using? I use 2mm across any atty I have and its sufficient. BUT, have you tried to increase the density of the wick? You may fare better pulling the cotton through to almost not being able to pull it anymore and then backing it off 1-2mm.
Im coming in late in the...
The thumb screws could be replaced with a "v3 replacement kit".
I use the v2 (upgraded to screws), v3 and v4. Side tip on the v2s... I haven’t used a key to remove the top in two years. Rubber band. :)
im assuming you are referring to the spheroid. One easy way to see is that top bell. If its a key screw to remove its v2. The v3 has the snap press assembly. There are other features and you can compare them on the website. I cant remember the specs
They did make that change. Yes. And of course I believe that it could be done on the bottom. But I have no problem having that bottom screw in. I see it as extra security. I use tanks and have for a while. And I have had tanks slip. And those are the reasons I don’t carry one on my pocket when...
I should have said Piccoloid v2 so yes, the spheroid.
I have used less fluff. Even when fluffing up less, it released the juice too fast. So I increased until I reached this point.
Regarding the cotton. Cut the length. The curl at the ends is formed by you with the tube so the the overall...
I hear ya on cleaning the base. I am thinking of looking at it the next time I tear it down to take a peak at ideas. But I will tear the base off the heron and spheroid to mop up at least once a week. And generally it may be a little condensation that built up rarely juice.
I USUALLY wait out...
Here is the tube pic with the fluff. Now I just filled it but the tube is filled in nicely. This combination of fluff and wick has worked in the spheroid and heron for well over a year with no problems. If it leaks on me then I know its because I made a mistake and got greedy on my fill...
I will word it as 100% VG for the sake of talk. With the understanding that some flavors are PG. BUT my DIY is only about 10% so it is almost literally 100% VG. And NIC is VG based as well.
No joke. Then I use about the same in my Heron v1.
