How has it never occurred to me to cut down an allen key to fit in there..... Yep, Dremel time this evening.

Those items are kept in a zippered pocket in my laptop bag, which is always either home, or at work with me. Probably should have clarified that even those don't go out on weekends / evenings, just reside in the bag (mostly because I won't lose them that way :toast:).

Man, all this drillbit talk, etc... is making me feel bad for carrying such a "light" vaping toolkit... Here's mine (actually, the mesh typically stays home unless I'm out of town):

G'morning all. What's the good word today? I can't wait to get a 510 connector for the Sidewinder so I can use it with a ZAU.

So, just to shed light on the inside joke here, the guy is Mike Gordon, bass player for Phish, often referred to as "cactus". :)

I have some. I either don't like them, or haven't had the patience to let one break in enough to truly pass judgement, hard to say which.

You want the coil just resting on the wick at all points. Not pinching it in any way, but also no gaps between the mesh and coil. You'll get the hang of it pretty quickly if you stick to wrapping them by hand the "old fashioned way"... Rotating the APV as you wrap, just like in Zen~'s...

My best coils are always hand wrapped. I tried the Petar K drill bit thing a few times, but just don't see the benefit, plus, one less item in the ol' vape kit.. :) This one's hittin' like a champ:

I've been bouncing between a Ti Tip, and my glass tips. I do still love my trippy tips. AND, I completely neglected to mention nipples in my catch-up post. Nipples down in the sidewinder, nipples up in everything else, and, regardless, I love nipples, even more than I love lamp.

Oh, and insulators are good regardless of how good a coil is. The ensure that no electricity runs through and grounds to the body. Even with proper oxidation, some electricity will still travel. Sometimes folks spend too much time focusing on brass "upgrades", etc then just let electricity leak...
