I clean them once every few months, if that. Take apart, run with a little grain alcohol, paper towel off the parts and re assemble. The brass screw seems to need a little love once every week or two, I either hit it lightly with some sandpaper, or more commonly just scrape it a little with...- Vapor2112

Personally, I've found that my switches with SS screws need very infrequent cleaning. Brass screw is a different story, I need to get rid of that at some point.- Vapor2112

I tried the efests a while back. They seemed to fall off much faster than the AW and didn't hold a charge as long. They're in my absolute emergency backup drawer.- Vapor2112

Honestly, that completely depends on how you set up your wick. When I used mesh, 400 mesh rolled fat using the inside piece of a carto as the insulator, pretty much wicked well at any angle. Sometimes a little finicky till a new wick breaks in though. With the Nextel, it makes no difference at all.- Vapor2112
