It's an awesome rig. I traded an Eden for it. So portable and so HUGE sounding. GK makes excellent gear. On the subject of bass approach, I'm much more of a melodic bass player than a rhythmic one. My guru is McCartney with a healthy dose of Entwhistle thrown in. I've never been much for just...

    An incredible 2 years smoke-free

Fantastic! Congrats. I'm coming up on two years in the next couple of weeks. These things are amazing. Life savers. No question.

Why Use HV attys at 5v-6v?

I've been using HV atomizers on my Prodigy V3.1 @ 6v for a couple months now. Let me revise that. I've been using ONE HV atomizer for the last two months since switching to HV. In my experience HV atomizers last WAY longer than normal resistance atomizers @ 6v and I can't detect much...

    I'm astounded, really astounded

I have the same experience. The day I picked up my first PV was the day I smoked my last analogue. I'm just coming up on two years right now, which is the longest time I've ever gone without a smoke since I was 16 (30 years ago.) These things are a life saver. No question about it. My doctor is...

I missed this thread. I've been playing bass since I was 16. I'm 46 now, so that's 30 years behind the four strings. Frightening. I picked up bass because every other kid I knew back then played guitar and we couldn't form a band with just guitars. Over the years I've been in dozens of...

Prodigy V3.1 after a month of daily use

As an owner of every version of the Prodigy so far, I just wanted to pitch in with a +1 on this thread. The 3.1 is awesome. Arguably the best mod out there.

Pretty significant upgrade. The addition of cameras and the removal of 15% of the weight makes it a must-upgrade for me. The first gen iPad is great, but it's a little heavy and the CPU is a little slow.

    My new watch!

That picture makes it look WAY bigger on my wrist than it actually is. It's a fluke of the camera lens. In reality, it wears small enough that it doesn't stand out as being extremely over sized. But I know what you mean. Most of my other watches are around 42mm, which is a more "normal" size...

    My new watch!

Orient Watch Company makes a Submariner homage that's just about as close to the Rolex original that you'll ever see. It costs under $200.

    My new tattoo

Sorry about your migraine too. I'm between cluster headache cycles right now so I feel better than normal. As far as the tat goes, yeah, I'm keeping it covered up for the first six weeks or so... which isn't a problem given the crappy weather in Oregon at the moment.

    My new watch!

Seiko gets a bad rap in America. They only market the kinetic, quartz and "spring drive" lines here, but they make high end watches that rival anything that Rolex and Omega make. They market them in Asia and Europe only. The Grand Seikos are amazing watches and they're a lot cheaper than Rolex...

    My new watch!

I have a couple of Seikos that I love too The very first watch I owned was a Seiko automatic. My current favorite is the Japan market only SARB065 "Cocktail Time" pictured below. The photo doesn't do it justice. It's a real stunner in "real life."

    My new watch!

As many of you know, I have a sickness. I collect mechanical watches. My main collection is vintage railroad grade pocket watches from the first half of the 20th century (and some from the very end of the 19th.) But I also have a fairly extensive collection of wrist watches. Until now I haven't...
